Sporty Forty.e t

Had a funny sort of day. But without realising it I completed my 40+ mins.
OK It was in small chunks but I am pleased.
Bird pooped on window, so out with the bucket and soapy water. That was 12 mins a lot of stretching to get the window sparkling again..
A little rest and a cuppa, then out to buy some ingredients to cook a nice dinner. 26 mins supermarket trolley walk. ( I know, a hol, but still annoying shoppers)
after another sit down a walk for 8 mins when it started to rain. GRR! hate getting wet.
22 mins physio exercises. ARRGH! Wish I had paid more attention in maths. I am in credit.

As a reward to myself I have prepared a thai curry all in the low carb style, and made some coconut ice cream for dessert.

Have a good holiday Jamrox, enjoy the break....was going to say don't worry because Pipp will whip us into shape while you're away but have just seen her post earlier about slobbing out so don't be too long...;)

...sooo muggy here nearly all day but cooled down for a couple of hours with a bit of a wind during the day [probably the metformin lol] so managed my walk, 45 mins today, at lunchtime....back to being muggy this evening so I may slob out and watch the footie.....

Hope you won't have any hills on board @Jamrox.
Like the silhouette. Looks like you are ready for a nightie dance.
I was just testing the others re slobbing about. Impressed that there are no takers.

20 mins so far on bike, then 10 minutes cleaning the parts of the toilet and sink that no one likes to think about. I am so glad I have my own toilet and the men use the one in shower room!! My hands feel suitably bleached now. Also made a start cleaning hidden depths of back of pantry. I've never found a packet of liquified tortilla wraps before. May have cured my carb cravings right there.

Did another 6 minutes on the bike and then some brisk walking to M and S where I persuaded myself to wait to buy new knickers till I get an even smaller number on the ticket.

Now up country near Yamasoukra. No exercise apart from wiggling my bum to stop it going numb during the drive up. Food OK with mostly chicken, fish, eggs, veg etc but having to go a little 'off plan' with the odd bit of yam for instance - not ideal with blood tests due on Monday when I get back but can't be helped.

Back to work now (no internet in the accommodation) but here's some quick snaps so far.

Very beautiful countryside. Makes you feel quite humble! Hope it's a good visit!

Am waiting on omelette so I can do my hour walk to Lidl. Will be walking loads tomorrow as hospital appointment and can't drive afterwards!

....great photos sanguine, a little slice of another life...

...40 minutes walk exactly today, almost didn't manage it as had to catch up on some things at work, at least I hit the target...

Fantastic sanguine,
Complete contrast to what we're used to.:)

A run this morning, then a cross country stomp with the dogs this afternoon.
The cats we've re homed are just starting to settle in now. Phew!:cat::cat:

60mins on the X Trainer this afternoon. I find this machine so much easier than a treadmill or rowing machine. I get bored before I get tired !

Broken into shifts my exercise Wednesday was 11 min walk, long rest, 16 min physio, another long rest, then a sort of work out around the grounds of the lovely place we are staying. We come here regularly, and knowing how I like to roam the owner has placed benches every 200 metres for me to rest. I was going to see how quickly I could move between them, but only managed 8 minutes and 2 benches before I was interrupted by a woman with a dog, who wanted to chat and let me pat the dog which was smelly and dirty. As much as I love dogs I was a bit miffed at the intrusion. Haha, I thought of how @zand used to resent meeting other people on her walks. I didn't get it then, but I do now. Sorry if I ever misunderstood your need for solitude zand.
Anyway, I remained polite, and escaped as soon as I could to return to our cottage and after cleansing myself of dog drool, relaxed with 20 mins of Pilates, followed by a large beer and feet up for the boring footy.

Well I've just woken up at this ungodly hour and am unable to go back to sleep! I know what you mean! My mum rang on way home from Lidl so we ended up talking a I walked and she talked the whole way home! I love my mum very much but just wanted to walk in solitude. Today I've got 2 walks so will have to make do!

Oh poor @Scandichic Sorry about your disturbed night. Using your wakeful time usefully posting here though! :)

I cherish my solitude too and my beach hut is my sanctuary. Am meeting a friend there today and will take the long route - using 40 steps down to the prom and 40 steps back up!

Yesterday I did 2 x 2.5 miles walks in the heat after dropping my car off in the morning for its first service and then walking back - still in the heat - to collect it in the afternoon

I'm on the road all weekend so today is probably my last chance for any proper execise
