Type 2 Life

good afternoon, my good friends,

I am back at the library getting online and this morning I visited a friend and her son with anxiety and depression called gary. I had a painful back so I helped gary by telling him what to do in lily's front garden and he worked well. saw my friend lee who bought me a breakfast in the café and I saw lee again when I got back from lily and gary and my Christian friend matthew and made him 2 cups of tea. my blood glucose at 1:30 pm was 5.7. the weather is very sunny and the sky lovely and blue with fluffy white clouds in stockwell. have a really lovely day.

Hi, Johnny! I'm sorry to hear your back is painful again, but I'm glad you're having such a lovely, sociable time with all your friends. Good BG reading, too. The weather has been lovely again here in the West Country.
Have a great day!
Hugs

Been out all day. FBG 7.0 mmol/l. Still feeling drained easily and a bit wheezy still. Having a quiet night in. I was invited out with friends tonight but declined, wish I had more energy. :)

Just got back from Rons MRI scan. I went in with him after I kicked off. I'm determined to get us banned from that hospital . Lol

I think "Type 2 life" has run it's course. All the regulars post elsewhere. Don't know what happened but I'm no longer going to post on this thread. You can find me posting on other threads. Been a pleasure.

Hi @eddie1968
For what it's worth I've dipped in and out of this enjoyable thread for weeks now but never wanted to post for fear of butting in on what seemed to be personal conversations.

Anyone is welcome at anytime . The more the merrier, right gang.xxx

Oh dear! I must admit I felt like that myself recently @magsiesss and @nomoredonuts but perhaps if you post on the thread it will encourage others to join in including people who haven't posted recently. It used to be a lively and very open thread, I'm sure that it could be again.

I've been off-line quite a lot lately, and likely to be so for the next two or three weeks, so just dropping by to say hello!

I will update on my adventures when I'm back on line properly again. Can't believe I've been off work for three weeks already, it's flown by.

Hope those who haven't been so well are improving!

Morning, saw doctor last week cos of pain in toes & fingers, said nerve damage, he gave me Cymbalta, but diabetics news suggested othere tablet before, apparently this Cymbalta is for depression but is also used for nerve damage, I'm not taking them, don't want meds that they use for depression, I'm not deppressd, even if used for nerve damage, hard to stop those things, they get into your system anyone been prescribed this meds? Hope your all well, had couple busy days in London, very stressful,
@maureen5752 I haven't heard of that tablet. I've heard of Amitriptyline for nerve damage in it's low dose. Higher doses used for depression. It must be common for these types of drugs to do both.
If you don't use your new treatment what is the alternative?
I hope your gp can help you relieve the symptoms of nerve damage soon, with something which benefits you or reassures you is affective.
Did you post a Ask a Question thread?
I hope you have some answers. :)

I've been 'missing' due to family commitments but I'm back for a few days.
I must admit I'm shattered by 9pm normally. I have very little time to myself but I'm enjoying the extra activities and lie ins.
Sandwich making duties again tomorrow. Hoping for less rain.
Miss you all. Even the quiet posters are heavily missed.
I think winter will bring us all on-line again. This summer weather is too good to miss.
Heatwave will have me hugging my fan and frozen bottled water. I don't enjoy the very hot weather, never have!
Even a/c offices get the moaning temperature queens. Of course I wasn't one of them. Well maybe not. =)

Ps. I've lost my emotion tabs.
Has everyone?

I have never heard of Cymbalta, but I looked it up and it is used for Peripheral Neuropathy and/or Depression. I personally would give anything a try to see if it can alleviate pain and discomfort. I have taken Prednisolone (Steriod) Tablets for 4 weeks and have had no positive effects only the side effects I have suffered with. But, at least I can go back to the Rheumatologist next week and say I tried Steriods.

They must have a few options, as we are definitely not all the same. Not in diabetes or for pain relief.
I hope next weeks appointment is more productive @liam1955 :)

Welcome @Shaydollar811 :) I'm sure @tina_marie will be along shortly.
How is type 2 life for you?
Please feel free to jump into our conversations. The more the merrier.
I've woke early and I'm enjoying some 'me' time. My family is a handful but as per usual the biggest baby is their dad. He took a tantrum yesterday because he couldnt get his own way and boy was his tongue nasty. I'm so pleased I'm not so nasty minded.
It's funny how the closest people can hurt you the most!
I'm really turning 'off' him. And now he knows it.
I know that that's not due to diabetic life but it's my life. He tarnishes everything I enjoy but I can see right through his games and sees he will never have what I have. Inner peace.
Inner peace is aquired not stolen. I found mine decades ago and has never left me. I'm hoping it never does.
Does anyone else have a pain in their life other than physical pain?
I would use the scream thread but I'm not that angry. I just pity his mental state and continue carrying us along, as usual. ;)

Both me and Ron have our moments but guess that's love for you. He had another seizure last night. I was so tired last night so took myself off to bed . If anyone is around this morning come have a chat . Hope you are all well. Xxx

That's why I though it had run it's course - lack of posting. I did not want to upset people. :)
