Type 2 Life

Good morning, my good friends,

I'm back at the library logging on today, not because my Sky Broadband is inactive but because my little chromebook laptop computer has stopped working. I'm currently waiting on my appointee and my care coordinator to arrange for a brand new Acer Chromebook laptop computer to be delivered to my flat from Argos which I can synchronise to my Sky Hub Broadband Router and set up in my flat.

I feel very well indeed today and yesterday ate Tomato sandwiches, raw onion sandwich and a special lamb doner kebab with salad and pitta bread and garlic sauce as a reward by my friend Lee for what he says is my kindness towards him. I haven't taken my blood glucose reading yet, though, but the Lixisenatide glucagon-like peptide injection keeps that well controlled.

Have a glorious December day, my lovely friends.

Lots of love,

Johnny Baker, an individual with Asperger Syndrome, type 2 diabetes mellitus and musculoskeletal disorder.

This is like the mother of all colds .... almost 2 weeks in and I still feel rubbish. My BG's all over the place - but I just have to let it go I think. I'm trying to keep low carb, but tonight I ate 2 slices of REAL BREAD! I bought it for a photoshoot of a property I've just designed - it looked so good I had two slices with cheese. Blame the cold :)

It made me feel better - I'll deal with the fallout tomorrow.

Hoping the cold decided to depart by the end of the weekend :)

I doubled up on multivitamins and vit c but dropped additional vit c as multivitamins had it in. I used sugar free liquid ibuprofen for horrific sore throat and swollen glands and temperature. The congestion was the worst. I feared going to bed. A nasty bout, i know. I lived off olbas oil drops.
What is lingering the most, for you?
I hope tomorrow is far better for you. ♡♥♡

Going to ease up on the Morphine today as it is making me Hallucinate, woke up to see a man wearing a multi-coloured Jacket in my bedroom!!!! And just checked the calendar and it is not Sunday today!
Thanks to everyone for all the hugs they are much needed and appreciated  xx
I've been white water rafting whilst in a hospital bed before. Thought the sheets and blankets were the water. According to the nurse i was having a great time.

Sounds like that guy with that technicolour dreamcoat.

I've been hosting your cold's sister!! And you're right - it just did not know when to leave. Although you do start to feel that it's going to be hanging around your neck forever, it will eventually bid a reluctant and protracted farewell, but it seems to take weeks. I feel your pain, mate, and I don't think 2 slices of bread make you a bad person. Hugs xx

Get well soon @debrasue and @PenfoldAPD . Hopefully just in time for Christmas day.
I've woke in pain but back to bed in mo. Thank god mine has gone. It can get depressing but I assure you it does do one! Sweet dreams V

Thanks @debrasue and @ickihun ... so so today - 7.0 FBG, that'll be the bread I guess. Head still bunged up from the cold. Just need to make it through work today though and then the weekend to get better ....

Hope you've almost got rid of it now @debrasue and that you didn't wake up in pain @ickihun - let's all get better for Christmas x

Good morning, my good friends,

I'm back at Tate South Lambeth Library in Vauxhall, South London near where to I live logging on.

I've eaten 2 slices of Portuguese bread and a bowl of Cheerios Oat Crisp with full cream milk for my breakfast.

I haven't received my new computer yet but I'm waiting patiently on my care coordinator and financial appointee to organize this for me.

Steady up on the carbs @autisticwonder1970 you know your blood sugar reading are so much better when you dont have too many cheerios and sandwiches :)
@PenfoldAPD sorry your cold is a long term resident guest, I thought I was quite altenative, a loo that I ordered weeks ago turned up yesterday, I suggested I plant the xmas tree in it:smug:. But a house made of bread?????

Now resisting the temptation to have cheese on toast:banghead:
:banghead:

I have recently been getting up in the mornings with FBS 5.0 now on 1 metformin and been type 2 for 8 years. With this in mind I have been on several works doos drinking lots of beer, wine and spirits. No real increase so i'm expecting a very boozy crimbo. Sticking to less than 50g carbs for the past 2 years apart from when I drink beers obviously :-)

Get sniffing on that Olbas oil or any mental oil (vicks) it will clear out your tubes. You'll cry and cough but it needs to come out. Leaving you with runny nose, don't forget to use balmed tissues to avoid Rudolf nose. Runny clear nose is a good sign. No infection!
Give it that last kick to show it whose boss. ;)

Some use a little alcohol to beat their liver dump. Everyone has their food to distract their liver.
I'm on insulin so i dont drink. Oh and many painkillers now too. I use cheese or nuts before bed. Others use something else. I think the key is on an empty stomach for the liver to get it first. ;)

Hello, welcome and well done you!

Yes the alcohol definitely helps liver dumps. I used to have a small glass of wine each night topped up with diet lemonade to keep morning sugars low. A year later and I don't have to do that. I'm assuming my insulin resistance is now sorting itself out plus i'm sticking with a little metformin so as not to over stress the old beta cells.

Is Codeine and chocolate from the same plant? I'm giddy after taking my tablet. Its very noticable since I've been so down lately. I bet as addictive as chocolate?
What a life! ;)
