Type 2s: What have you eaten today?

Russian sauce:

Mayo. 0

Tom ketchup 5g for tablespoon - we used about 2 teaspoons each making it just under 3 (ish) Horseradish and worcester together 1g Shallot less than 1g (2/3) Dill pickle 1?

Total for sauce and pickle on top = 5 ish

Pastrami neg

Sauerkraut. 0.5

Cheese. 0.5

Butter. 0


Total for rest of filling = 1

PLUS THE BREAD (ours was 34g for two slices) making the total around 40

I did thrive on it.....although working there probably helped LOL

Back home now and resisting temptation(although to be fair steak/bacon/cheese,grilled lamb and roasted veg are hard to beat......yummy for my tummy and good for me too!!)
 
I did just Dinner today.
The first time we've had Venison burgers.

I tried a new way of making celeriac chips today and that is to microwave them first so that they're still warm when I pour heated seasoned beef dripping on them. I found that this helps coat them evenly in the fat before I bake them off.
 
Breakfast - Coco Pops with honey, 3 slices white toast and orange marmalade
Morning Tea - 3 Krispy Kreme donuts with jam. Mug of hot chocolate
Lunch - Beef pie with bbq sauce, 2 sausage rolls
Dinner - Fried rice with crumbed prawns, Ice cream with strawberry topping
Snack - Cup of tea with 4 Tim Tams

Then the phone rang and woke me up.

L: Ham salad with mayonnaise, pear, Mullerlight Greek yogurt.

T: Meatballs in tomato & garlic red wine sauce, wholemeal pasta, glass of red, strawberries & natural Greek yogurt.

B: 2 bacon, 2 sausage, 2 eggs, beans, mushrooms & a naughty hash brown, tea

T: Chicken Royale (chicken breast stuffed with stuffing), Jersey Royal potoates & fine beans, gin & tonic.
 
Morning : Two slices of bacon
Dinner : Two Richmond thick sausages with an onion omelette
Tea : Chicken strips, mayo, tomato & onion

All interspersed with cups of tea with proper milk
 
At a hotel today so breakfast was 2 rashers back bacon tomoate mouthful black pudding spoonful scrambled egg. Muffin at midmorning because yesterday bs went low. Lunch half a cheese and pice sandwich. Not surprisingly bs then went really high because I am an idiot but yesterday's low levels had worried me

Clare what were your low numbers yesterday? How did you feel and what diabetes medications, if any, do you take?
 
4.5 FBG, get up, ready, head to office

5.1 BG (1 hour later) as I start breakfast of:

Bowl of 3 meat ragu, 1x portion is:
75g Full fat lamb mince
75g Full fat Aberdeen Angus beef mince
75g Full fat pork mince
1 piece of smoked back bacon
1/6th a tin chopped tomatoes
100g chestnut mushrooms
1/3rd tablespoon tomato purée
1/6th knor beef stock cube
1/6th brown onion
1 clove of garlic
1/3 spring of rosemary
1 stick celery
1/6th of a carrot
1/12th tsp oregano
1/6th glass of red wine
Salt and pepper to season : Instant Pot cooked earlier this week : chilled and microwave warmed.

Then 75g fresh raspberries and a large spoon of clotted cream.

6.9 BG 1 hour later (+ 1.8)

6.0 BG 2 hour later (+ 0.9)

4.0 BG 3 hour later (4 hours after waking).

Only exercise is wandering the office.
 
Yesterday; slow smoked 13hr pulled pork.

Invited to a bbq by some close friends; always good to take something.

I’m new to all this, on no medication yet
So far today
Bowl of multigrain Cheerios with semi skimmed

11 oclock break vanilla activia yoghurt fat free and a baby bell

Lunch chicken thighs and salad

Tea will be chicken breast and veg

Does this sound ok? Know the Cheerios ain’t good but stuck for time in am
