Yesterday saw me in France for a good old fashioned 'Booze Cruise' Lunch I though was conservative.
Small mixed salad for starter, and poached fish for mains, except it came with boiled RICE! Fortunately the person with me also had fish, and didnt eat all the rice, declaring it 'too much' Nice get out for me as I did the same, so for desert I though too late now I'll have the chocolate mousse. 90mins later after a walk round town, and some shops my trusty meter surprises me with a 5.1

Before breakfast reading 6.4 at 09.30am Have a virus and slept in, normally awake at 6am or slightly later.

Reviving smoothie: Kale, Spinach, Carrot, Ginger, Cinnamon, Sunflower seeds, Chia, half Orange, water.

(Neighbours round for dinner last night - five empty wine bottles in the bin this morning....)

Staying away from BG meter for now.

Skipped breakfast, mainly as I snacked on 2 very small strawberries and 2 tsp hazelnut butter (delicious!) at midnight last night, I had no idea of the time. But fasting reading this morning 5.9 first time into the 5's. So the midnight snack didn't do any harm.

Lunch: baked trout on pea mash, frozen peas cooked then mashed with yogurt. I'm using coconut yogurt, hoping husband doesn't notice as he says he doesn't like coconut. But I've been sneaking coconut oil and flour into foods and he's not noticed yet! Also corriander added to peas.

Tea: The ostrich steaks we didn't have yesterday for tea :) Found 2 chicken breasts that had to be eaten yesterday in the fridge.
Lots of green veg.

Off to Inverness tomorrow, so will be doing lots of walking, so hopefully my levels will go down again. The problem will be eating out and trying to find something suitable to eat.

L: All day brekkie at Patisserie Valerie minus toast and beans.

D. Roast duck breast, peas, asparagus, jersey royals. Glass of malbec

BG 2hrs later 4.9

No breakfast as ran out of time getting ready and had to leave house at 6.30am to catch bus for ferry.
Lunch: went into cafe in Tain (north of Inverness). Explained my diet and lovely lady gave me 1 rasher bacon, 1 sausage, 1 lg fried tomato, 1 fried egg and loads of sliced fried mushrooms. Took £1.50 off cost as I didn't have haggis or black pudding. Lg cappuccino, mistake as I felt a bit sick after it as it was very large. Didn't have the chocolate topping.
Plenty of exercise after, first around Tain, then after bus to Inverness, at least 1 hr walk to house.
Tea: Rocket and watercress leaves, olives, small piece of brie, spring onion and M&S chilli prawns.
4 small strawberries, 8 blueberries and 2 dsp double cream.
Lots of water

Not today. My Tuesday fasting day. 42 hours from dinner at 7pm last night. This is my 6th week and I now conditioned to it and actually enjoy it....I know....I'm a weirdo :)
