Type 2s: What have you eaten today?

B: Chia seed coffee cocoa peanut butter and some nuts
L: Celery, olives, feta, cold pork and sauerkraut (SK)

D: Haddock coated with almonds, broccoli, SK, water, 1 choc

B/Fast - full Guernsey with one slice w/meal toast
Lunch - W/meal chicken and bacon sandwich
Dinner - baked mushroom stuffed with parmasan and garlic on rocket, turbot in butter and caper sauce, mixed veg ie mange tout, broccoli, cabbage and beans with two new potatoes followed by pear and almond tart with dark chocolate sorbet - naughty but very nice!!!!
Did not test before but 2 hours after was on 6.8 and 5.8 this morning so not too bad.
 
B fasting
L cauli rice with sausage casserole
D egg roll, just an omlette and rolled it.
Felt hungry as I dint have anything so had a few nuts.
Saw wife having a chocolate cake, I don't like sweets, don't know what happened yesterday, gave in and had a massive slice of it, I had to test and did a 1 hour as 2 hour would have been too late for me but it's pure sugar so should have peaked in 1 and I got 4.8, retested 4.9 so it was all good.
Happy with that I slept like a baby only till 4am as I have to be at work early
Fasting was 4.7 so I presume it would have stayed good :p

Fish:
I have fish nearly every Tuesday, it's when the man from Arbroath delivers, so it is good and fresh.
Haddock and have always bread crumbed it...
The last two previous nights were both 6.8 2 hour post.
Last night, with ground almonds, 6.0.... and I have to say it was really pretty acceptable... will try it on other such items, veal and pork come to mind.

I was thinking of breading some chicken....will try almond flour now...or mayb coconut..:)
 
It's the quaker oats sachets I use. I put more milk in though. Also fills you up. I find my bg doesn't go up high like others. Try the original one first. Good luck :)
 
Sorry hj. You microwave it for about 2 minutes.
 
Readings have been pretty good last few days.
6.0 before lunch. Chocolate slimfast and peaches in jelly.
 
Senior moment here. Sorry everybody.
Two hours after lunch it's 5.5 ;)
 
Breakfast:
4 Krackawheat, butter & tsp marmalade
Dinner:
Lentil, cheese, veg bake same as yesterday
Snacks:
2 sugarfree choc chip cookies, last of punnet of raspberries
Tea:
Large lightly battered cod, chips, peas....well it will be...
Bedtime snack may be a small cereal bar unless I can resist....
