Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)

5.0 for me today. @Goonergal back with stellar results; @ally1 nice 8 again; @geefull as usual better control than mbappe. Exactly 3 years ago my fbg was 4.6 after 1 week on this diet so slippage has befallen. Talking of which, one wonders what dainty snackage a fair lady such as @JanetMcDowell could have ingested to cause such spikeage:angelic:

Well... my Silly o'clock (05.30) reading was 7.0! (I don't understand as I didn't eat anything out of the ordinary yesterday). Then my 09.57 reading when I woke up properly was 5.5.
Just a thought, but does anyone know if leaving a strip not quite in the SD Codefree, ready to be pushed in & the lancet primed would have a detrimental effect on the numbers??? (Me trying to be organized & ready for the test!)

Sd Code Free test strips are supposed to be used within three minutes of removal from the tub, so in answer to your question your silly o’clock readings can’t be relied on if the strip has been out of the tub for longer. Have a look here, at page 29:
