Best wishes Janet I hope your husband has a speedy recovery, it must have been a very worrying time for you.
First 24 hours seemed like it was happening to someone else but he’s improving now.

havnt been on here for a while so reason for not replying..my overnight fasting figures for the last fortnight have been in the mid to high fives ..monday was 6.5 ( kebab with pitta }and today at 0630 was 5.1 after twenty minutes on rowing machine..how long were you on metformin? i was only on it for about three monthsI’ve been off the metformin for over a year takes time and work to get steady figures my last yearly test I was up by 0.1 it took a few ups and downs to get there was up as high as 7.8 and as low as 5.2 on fasting figures it’s the fun of finding the things that spike you but remember we still have to enjoy days off and unwind
Big hugs for you & hubby, hope he’s on the mend soon5.7 today. Haven’t posted for a week. Husband had been airlifted from St Kilda whilst kayaking with a group of other kayakers. Had sepsis and possible MI. Was at the Western Hospital in Stornoway in HDU. Was allowed home yesterday on a wheelbarrow load of medications and further tests to follow.
I can imagine, its awful having to watch someone you love in pain or scared, it doesn't seem as if you can do anything to help but you can't not be with them. I'm sure your being close was a great comfort.First 24 hours seemed like it was happening to someone else but he’s improving now.
