    5.7 at 4:30 am.

Melbourne Cup day today, the race that stops a nation, got two horse picked out, plus a roughie called Who Shot Thebarman. I just need my UK pension to have gone into my bank account overnight'

We do not have DST in Queensland, West Australia and the Northern Territories, it is only practised in southern states.
Probably made your curtains fade as well Jim, not to mention getting the cows confused come milking time.

Years ago we had a few trials of DST in Mt Isa, It was still light at 10:00 pm in the evening. After the Queensland state government referendum was held in the early 90's and the "No to DST" vote was 51% plus, that was it no more stupidity messing with time.

Here's a poem that circulated around Mt Isa at the time which said it all.

    Edit: To many which's.
