Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)

10.6 this morning before food. Is this the dawn phenomenon - because my readings are always lower during the rest of the day.

Have you monitored your bg levels at other times?@Mcleanmr.
An important time to test is just before you take the first mouthful, be it breakfast, lunch or dinner. Then compare that first reading with the result two hours later.
The second reading should be no more than 2 mmols/l above the first one and no higher than 8 mmols/l. By reducing the carbohydrates in your meals, you can bring those results down to a healthy range.
The FBG reading is usually the last to come down.

- The term "big boned" lol repeatedly told this growing up!
6.3 today, still getting over a sinus headache so unable to work out as it hurts to much. Inside of my nose is so dry and sore, weird. Really feeling sorry or myself but there are people worse off than my dry nose and head hurting

Any inflammation of the delicate tissues in your nasal passages and mouth is particularly painful.6.3 today, still getting over a sinus headache so unable to work out as it hurts to much. As a young man, my husband (who is not diabetic) suffered frequent sinus headaches made worse by high humidity. The one factor that eased his symptoms was a drier climate; hard to come by anywhere in the British Isles!
In later life he is much better and puts the improvement down to our way of eating, that is lots of fish, seafood, a wide selection of vegetables and no red meat or ultra processed foods.
