Weekly weigh in - Fridays

I am delighted to report an amazing 7lbs off in my first week of low carb and yes, I do know a lot of it will be water, but it is still very encouraging.

How's everyone else doing?

Well done @filly and @MissMuffett a STS and a 1lb off is better than a gain. It is a lot of hard work, I know, having been down this path many times before. We just have to keep on keeping on.
 
74,2kg again, though I've had some high 73s during the week. Sigh....
 
Lost 5lbs this week!
Must be the OMAD I’ve done 3 times since last Friday. It could be a different story next Friday though as I’m going on holiday today and it’s my birthday next Wednesday. I have requested we go out for breakfast as I’ve never done that, so a big fry-up on the cards lol!
 
Hi all.
Diagnosed about 2 weeks ago. Ha1c score of 80. Weighed at the GPs at 326lbs.
First week, I dropped all added sugar and white carbs. Further reading made me realise that dropping the number of any carbs I ingest would be a better way to go. I've aimed for 100g of Carbs a day. My wife confirmed pretty quickly that I had 'keto breath' and I can certainly taste it in my mouth now. I wasn't aiming specifically for Ketosis, but that seems to be happening. I'm also swimming 4-5 times a week and trying to walk more etc.
Anyway, last Thursday, I was 312.4lbs - though that was first thing in the morning, on my scales rather than the GP. Still, that's got to be a decent real loss for two weeks. Going to go for every Thursday now for my weigh-in. Next target is Sub-300, then keep going step by step down to under 220lbs if I can. Hopefully will have dropped my Ha1c by then too.

I used to post to this thread regularly when I was first diagnosed a few years ago, but when I got to "normal" BMI weight levels my weight plateaued and I stopped reporting to the thread. On diagnosis, my weight was 80kgs after a few months of low carbing my weight reduced to 53 kilos (see my sig) however recently the weight has started to creep back on and I am hitting 60kg. which feels uncomfortable. I know I over indulge on nuts and cream and cheese and other low carb, high calorie stuff plus I never used to drink alcohol but now don't mind a glass of wine or a good whiskey on occasion. Bad habits creeping in. I am now trying to cut back on the naughty stuff and thankfully I have managed to lose a kilo but it has taken a while to manage this. Losing weight is definitely much harder this time round.
 
Hi Ryhia, well done on keeping on top of it, I am sure you will be back to a more comfortable weight soon!
