I've noticed people here talking about their weight sometimes being
up or down by 3 or 4 ounces (approx. 100g) from day to day, and
indicating some undue interest or concern about this.
Anyway, it's normal for a person's weight to fluctuate by 1-2kg
(or 2.2-4.4 pounds) daily, primarily due to water retention, food
and drink intake, and bowel movements. Medicos say that a weekly
weigh-in is more than adequate to gauge your health from a weight
perspective.
So... yuckiness to follow...
How much does your poop weigh? In
a research study, investigators
found that you might produce 125g to almost 170g of stool per day,
or around 5 to 6 ounces. That's a contributing factor to daily weight
fluctuations right there!
