First time at this section for low carvers...seems to me you are all NO careers. I just know I'd never survive without some carbs. Nice meeting you all anyway.

Today I have eaten:-

B. 1 slice Burgen toast spread with cheese spread
L. 4 chippolata sausage 95% pork+ herb+ 2 fried eggs
D. Pork loin with 1/4 frittata green salad
S. Cheese cube + 5 almonds

Today's efforts (including my good carbs! :) )

B - peanut butter mug cake
L - Chicken salad with cheese
D - Bacon & cheese sandwiches, made with my spinach bread,

Looks like I'm going to have to stick with you guys and live & learn, ... I'm fascinated, but when I was eating low carbs a while ago, 5 mini meals a day, as advised by my Doc., I was getting hypos quite a lot, so I'm wary!!

Today I've eaten:
2 toast (seeded bread) & butter . 2 scrambled eggs
Home made chicken (not much chicken) & veg soup 2 breads
Portion meat lasagne & salad
Will have fresh strawberries & Greek yogurt later

B: Avocado, salad, h/b egg, butternut squash/onion/cheese mash mixed with guacamole and a squidge of mayo. Quite nice and got rid of a lot of leftovers all at once.
L: Green salad, tomatoes & cheddar.
D: Lamb curry, broccoli, leeks, celery, raita.
Treat: Berries & cream with 85% cacao choc grated over.

Evenin'

B1: coffeencream
B2: cafe breakfast. Sneaked a fried bread slice in, with the egg, bacon, sausage and mushroom. Yum. Bg fine.
No L
D: sausages and caulicheese. Bit of a miscalc. I would have done the cooking, if i hadnt been pinned down under a cat. Honest. And if i had done the cooking, we wouldn't have had sausages twice, and would have had spicy pork steaks with stir fried veg. But what can you do? The cat was fast asleep. It would have been too cruel!

2 burgen toast with butter and laughing cow
Salmon and veg
Donner meat with salad and chicken wings
Funny feet lolly
Apple
Stayed under 50 despite the toast and the funny feet.

Two turkey biscuits at breakfast
12 cups of black coffee

Felt awful afterwards

Half a pound of ham at 3pm

It's 4:39pm now and I'm feeling much better but a little tired.

Going to drive to oklahoma here in a bit and then back home

I'll be famished I'm sure on my return

Edit:
Stopped At "Two Frogs" in Ardmore Ok to have a nice steak dinner with the wifey.
Spinach/Artichoke dip appetizer has spiked me and I feel sick.
Hoping to balance out when the steak arrives.
I thought the cheesy artichoke and spinach dip would be good for me but apparently it's in some kind of cream base that must be high carb. It's kicking my ass. I had no idea.
I won't be doing that again!

The highs and lows are frustrating.
I haven't experienced highs before I was surprised to find that I felt just as sick as when I'm low.
I mistakenly thought that if low made me feel bad that high blood sugar would make me feel good.
Wrong!

Do the blurry eyes get worse when sugar is high?

I think that the blurry eyes happen when we have sudden highs and lows, and big fluctuations.
The only time I have had them was after my oral glucose tolerance test, and they lasted for 2 days of misery.
Couldn't work or drive - vision too blurry for the computer screen and definitely NOT SAFE on the road!

People post here sometimes about needing to change their glasses prescription after getting good control of their bg, because the higher bgs were affecting their eyes all the time.

Definitely worth being careful with carbs for a few days - the fluctuations are horrible, aren't they? The only up side is that it is an excellent motivator. I mean, who actually wants to feel like that?
