Yesterday, I worked 3-10 shift so:

8am Breakfast: Chia Pudding (chocolate coated turkish delight flavour).
1pm Lunch: Chocolate pancakes (raw cocoa, eggs, cream cheese, slenda) fried in butter with Fage yoghurt on top.
5pm 'Tea' (as its called at work): Massive green salad (mostly baby spinach) with smallish home grown beef tomato, avocado and prawns
11pm After work supper: Lidl HP roll with cream cheese. G'n'T

This is my one weekend off a month so today:

9am Breakfast: 2 Boiled eggs, Lidl high protein roll buttered and cut in to soldiers.
I also had my first cup of 'normal' tea with milk since I started low carbing (I normally now drink Tetley redbush with vanilla
tea or plain water) and I couldn't get over how the normal tea tasted - absolutely disgusting!
Lunch: Will be just some nuts - brazils and/or walnuts and an avocado
Dinner: Chicken thighs casseroled in lemon, white wine, garlic and herbs and a splodge of double cream stirred in just before serving. (Fingers crossed it works out okay as I'm making it up as I go along!). Served with chard and that courgettini.

Prosecco. Several glasses of.... I only get one weekend off a month... thats my excuse anyway. ;)

Weirdly wines don't affect my bg but they do make me temporarily weigh 4lbs heavier the next morning. Gin doesn't affect weight or bg so maybe I should just stick to gin.o_O

Oooh, I've avoided g& t, and I really do enjoy that, so I'll have one later. Enjoy all your lovely foods this weekend

I hope it works for you - if anything a decent G&T lowers my bg. Of course you will need repeat the experiment several times over with plenty of testing. ;)

I love it with that diet lime tonic.

Iv been abroad for 5 days was really difficult to eat! Couldn't wait to go shopping today, so filled up on scrambled eggs, bacon, mushrooms, cheese, strawberries & cream!! Can anyone refresh me on recipe for peanut butter mug cake? X

The recipe I used was 2 and a half tablespoons lower carb peanut butter, half teaspoon baking powder and one large egg all whizzed together then nuked in the microwave for one minute. Also nice with one rounded teaspoon raw cocoa powder stirred in to the mix.

HTH

Yesterday I went out for lunch with my sisters and we found this place that did the most amazing 3 egg omelette with veg and chorizo, with salad and home made coleslaw. Hardly needed anything else the rest of the day as we only ate at 2:30. Still not really hungry now!!

B - McDonald's double sausage & egg muffin, without the muffin
L - pate with carrot sticks & spinach bread.
D - sort of spag bol with cauli rice. I don't like cauli but in the "rice" form I can barely taste it in a rich sauce like bolognese.

S - 2 pints of beer that didn't really spike me!!

Nice one. In unfamiliar restaurants my first hope is for some sort of omelette or frittata. Often they will do a bespoke one without chips, say, but with extras like mushrooms. Hopefully I remember to ask for an undressed salad.

L. Peanut butter mug cake
D. Chicken lots of veges and apple & whipped cream. In an hours time!

D (in oven atm) Belly pork casserole with a few kidney beans, steamed white cabbage & b squash
S (if needed later) Peanut butter & cocoa powder mug cake
Seems rather a lot so I'd better put my bit of exercise in the winter keepy-uppy thread

Hi, everyone! I'm new here, and I've been enjoying reading this thread for a week or so. Hope you don't mind if I join you!

B: Buttery scrambled eggs
L: Creamy tuna salad w/ avocado, olives, lettuce and cucumber
D: Garlic chicken and mushrooms with cauliflower rice. The cauliflower was awesome. I was very impressed with it as a rice substitute!
What's cauliflower rice? Thanks, new and trying to get used to it all.
