Oh now I will have to have to make that this evening. Zero rice though.
Missed yesterday;
Lunch a couple of boiled eggs bashed onto a mug bread.
Dinner; a spicy curry thing, made out unlabeled things found in the freezer, on konjak rice.
Risky strategy, did it work?
I had a really weird experience last night. Totally bizarre, and I am NOT understanding what happened.
During the afternoon I conceived a totally out-of-character craving for a Snickers Bar. Haven't wanted one, or thought of one, for years. 8 years at a minimum.
Yet the obsession just grew and grew.
To the point that when Mr B rang me from work at 9pm, I asked him to pick me up a small one (I believe they still come in different sizes? But I don't know - which just shows you how far out of the loop I am).
So at 10 pm I ate the Snickers, with unalloyed delight (which is even weirder, because it was sickly sweet and frankly 'meh', yet to me it was exquisite, while STILL being sickly sweet and 'meh' to my low carb carni tastebuds)
Then I went to bed, anticipating a 2.30 am hypo/nightmare/sweat combo, which is what normally happens after carbs in the later evening.
Nope.
Slept magnificently, no disturbances, widdles, or nightmares.
Woke up TOTALLY rested, full of beans and raring to go.
Still scratching my head.
Happy, but puzzled, and (currently) not interested in repeating the Snickers experience.
(did check the snickers info, and it turns out that it is lower carb than I expected. A 48g bar is 26g carbs, which is 4x the carbs I had during the rest of the day, but still no hanging offence)

Hi Brunneria. You have just explained what happened to me when I ate carbs close to bedtime recently - something I would never normally do. After being asleep for only 2 hours I was wide awake, sweating, anxious and sensing that the carbs could have had something to do with it! Thanks.
AbsolutelyYou mean you've played "Brown Block Ping" too?
@Brunneria
How really strange! The only time I had an overwhelming craving like that was when I was pregnant (many years ago) but I remember at the time feeling very confused and sort of out of control. Not a nice feeling.
I don't think I've ever had a Snickers bar but it's interesting to learn that it has only 26g carbs I would have thought it would be much higher.
If you're short of inspiration for tomorrow's dinner, I'll let you know later what I have this evening.
We found a new place, and the cook doesn't have MSG in the kitchen, so all flavours are clean (and very, very delicious). She was very excited that we like spicy food, as most Europeans who go in ask it be toned right down.
I am not travelling all this way to eat bland food!
They used to be called Marathon didn't they? Thankfully I have an aversion to any nuts that have had anything done to them. Plain nuts in their shells fine - cooked, salted, caramel/chocolate coated - keep they away from me. The sight/smell/taste makes me physically sick. Barcadi does the same thing. No idea why unless I had a traumatic nut experience as a child? I can relate to an irrational longing for something though. In my case it is usually something I dont like which I find bizarre.I had a really weird experience last night. Totally bizarre, and I am NOT understanding what happened.

No you're not. I always have them in reserve. Especially the tomato and chilli one.Ah, you use Lloyd Grosman sauces too. So I am not the only one.
I'm fortunate to have 1 large and 1 very large M&S nearby and both always have it. I prefer not to go to the very large one unless I have to as that requires timing to avoid traffic problems.I haven’t been able to get the M&S whipped creamy cheese for at least a week, I was going to ask if you’d experienced problems but it looks like you can still find it.
Yuk!
Chicken embryos. Known as Balut. Yes. I was offered some but could not face them. I have seen them sold in the Isle of Man though.
If you google balut you will see. But the images might make you
Italians are fond of them too. They used to battle over the feet. They also found it entertaining to pull the tendons on the feet to make them move to bamboozle the kiddies (or scare them!).Whilst on the topic of strange foods from far off lands my wife has often eaten chickens feet, grilled. I was in an Asian store recently where they were selling them by the bag full. I think they just snack on the remaining meat on the bone. I will have to check with her.

I am guessing they are tastier than I might imagine. But would need to leave out the sugar and the rice.
Hello all,
@DJC3 -- Yes, reducing the eating window and increasing weight lifting exercise really seems to work for you. Takes a lot of dedication, though. Really well done.
@zauberflote -- Have an enjoyable time with your family and friends.
@BibaBee -- Hugs. No wonder your husband panicked. Glad everything is on the mend now.
@ianpspurs -- Hope Julie feels better soon.
@Hungry19 -- Are you having enough salt? When cutting out carbs, the kidneys release more salt, often leading to headaches. So we need to supplement a bit more on low carb.
Got up early today and didn't really eat until I got home from work today -- so a kind of unintended OMAD.
Breakfast: Two double decaffeinated espressos with cream and erythritol.
Snack: Four pecan halves.
Dinner: A large serving of Pad Thai, about 40g of 85% chocolate and a glass of red wine.
