I've noticed I've gone off of sweet things, even if they are only slightly sweet. First time in my life!

I goofed this morning. I know bananas are off limits but I saw a nice easy breakfast recipe which was 1 mashed banana combined with 2 beaten eggs and just fried in small portions. I am trying different things because I know some people are more tolerant to some carby things than others but bananas are definitely out because my BS went to 10.5 just under 2 hours after :(

Shame because they were nice.

I was so proud of myself today as I was on a day trip with my daughter viewing a potential uni and got myself all prepared with a nice egg salad with lots of mayo. Come the train journey home when we decided to eat our lunch - I had no fork - doh!
In the end I just hunched down a little behind the seat in front and dug in with me fingers!

I laughed at this.. I can just imagine Mayo all over your fingers & mouth. Hope you had lots of tissues to have a clean up when you'd finished. If I don't write a list & tick things off, I'm sure I'd go out without my head! I put my list in my phone now, cos I'd go out and leave the list at home!

Today I ate :-

B. 1 slice Burgen toast with little bit cheddar cheese
L. 2 small chicken legs, 1 hard-boiled egg (picnic at the beach)
D. Grilled Bacon + 2 eggs fried in olive oil

B: Mushroom, cheese & tomato 2-egg omelette.
L: Green salad with mayo & warmed plate of goat's cheese, tomatoes, olives & mushrooms with olive oil
D: Roast chicken with steamed leeks, broccoli & celeriac. I had v small bits of Mrs DeeJay's roast parsnip & spud and made the gravy with buckwheat flour, but all is well.
I also rolled minced pork in some herbs & seasoning and wrapped them in thin bacon strips and then forgot about them so that's one of tomorrow's meals sorted.

Yesterday:
B. Mug of coffee with sweetener and almond milk. First time I've tried almond milk and found it a bit weak for coffee. Tastes nice and I will use it in porridge.
