Sorry you're still feeling awful. Is it not time to consult the Doc?
@Brunneria - is Mr B in isolation??
@Chook no I don’t blame you for turning the tv off! All they’re doing is going after advertising. Last time I *watched* news was 9/11. I read my news so can pick and choose.
Metformin requires carbs??? I sure hope the triage nurse is right about dx-ing you over the phone without even seeing you. There are times when I’m grateful for our broken healthcare system. At least we have urgent care doc-in-a-box facilities which most insurance plans cover fairly well.
@Emma_369 good luck with the coursework! And enjoy swimming
as good as. Lol.
When we first met I was tutoring in a university, which is an even worse plague pit than a primary school. Fresher’s Flu, anyone? *shudder*
So we learned to initiate Plague Protocols - with great success.
Basically, the sick person stays out of the kitchen (even the fridge and kettle), and doesn’t touch the healthy person’s cutlery or crockery. Bathroom hygeine is increased, including door handle and taps.
And generally, we don’t swap germs. Which is great.
The only thing that has sneaked through (and caused us both to catch the bug)in a looooong time, was the Flu this last xmas.
So far, I am clear of this one. Phew!
Yup, I'll blame it for anything and everything. So glad to be in Ethiopia where the politicians seem competent in comparison!I'd go for Brexit. Driving me nuts!
Got to agree. I thought I'd never like 100%. It was hard workbut I can eat it now. .
DJC3, do your bathroom scales give you any data in excess of the straightforward weight? I have found my Omrons invaluable for the additional information. Some of it can be influenced by dehydration, just as body weight can, but I found them good for just having an idea where my body fat percentages and visceral fat scores sit.
and I ended up with yet another double yoker.
.
Ok, so dinner today saw my very first foray into tofu (sudden though - it is low carb isn't it? Have just assumed so. I'll look it up in a minute!!). Loved it, so if BG levels ok in the next hour, it will become a staple in my diet as it is very cheap! This is the recipe I sort of followed, omitting things not allowed and substituting things I didn't have: https://myfoodstory.com/crispy-sesame-tofu-zucchini-noodle-meal-prep-recipe/
B - snickerdoodle pancake (last of the batter used up today), strawberries, Greek yogurt
L - chicken salad with pesto mayo
D - tofu as above
Snack - lump of cheese
It really was very tasty! That stir fry recipe looks good. I’ve got almond butter which I’m sure will be fine in the peanut sauce. Good idea to whizz up a batch and leave it in the fridge for a salad dressing too as the recipe says.
