What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

@ianpspurs what a lovely tradition, to have music for you/them. Your food sounds delicious and gourmet. And How Come the forum settings will let you say **** but I can't say the name of an old American cookbook author whose last name is Farmer and first rhymes with nanny and is sometimes short for Frances? And stop it with inducing the belly laughs already!
I figured out my supper -- chia pudding, 2 tbsp chia seed and 1/3 cup soy milk=2 carbs. And a little cheese maybe. Then will try olive oil for meds absorption. I can even eat between sound check (who mikes a solo flute in the balcony of a church, I ask you) and beginning of service, neatly keeping the fasting going until my designated time.

The music was very fortunate - obviously someone practising in a nearby house with window open due to the warm weather.

That word - the one that in the US is an abbreviation for Frances - is a little bit rude over here. Its not mega rude - basically a slightly old fashioned slang word for female genitalia. The abbreviation for Frances over here is usually Franny or Fran.

Lunch yesterday: Ham and salad with a good dollop of Kimshi mixed in to the salad mix.
Dinner: Fry up of various b!tch an peaches as my aboriginal customers used to say in Mt. Isa.
Breakfast: Usual omelette and bacon, tomato.

Drinks: Black coffee no sugar / sweeteners, water.

I went out to Bundaberg Port first up with my two grandsons to pick up our seafood for the long weekend from a trawler owner I know. Got a good price on prawns, but the mud crabs cost me a bit more than I wanted to pay.

Grandsons were happy to go out there as they were taking photos of everything to build their portfolios.

@Chook ahhhh ok here it just means what you sit on, your derriere. I was taught as a child to use it instead of ruder words synonymous with duff. Young ladies don't say that! It's definitely fallen out of use in favor of cutting straight to the chase...but an expression of "I don't believe you" is, "insert ridiculous boast, My Aunt Derriere". Thanks!

@zauberflote one of my most prized souvenirs from my first trip to the US in 1990 is a ‘micro [that word]’ from Salt Lake City. Known as a bum bag here, but the American term made me laugh so much I had to buy one. It now fits again

Oh my word @Goonergal I actually had to look that up! Never heard "micro" with it, but turns out that's what my 35 yr old one is. It's been all over the world! Had to tighten the strap considerably. Great for flying as it seems to count as clothing, not a carry-on. Bum bag makes *me* laugh. Very few here would know any meaning for bum except as an old fashioned term meaning a jobless homeless hobo-type man. Also an affectionate insult, means the same.
I will eat today! Woke up early, realized I'd left a crucial task undone, so am tracking DP as long as I'm up.

Spent the day at my parents yesterday so had to wing it a little on the food, although my Dad who does the food prep there has a basic understanding of my low carb eating, he just suggested I take my own desserts
Breakfast was at home so my usual low carb coconut ‘porridge’ with strawberries and cream washed down with a black coffee.
Lunch: cold meats, cheese and salad followed by Greek yoghurt and raspberries.
Mid afternoon at a cliff top coffee shop: Americano with double cream and a salted caramel phd bar.
Dinner: chicken and mushroom casserole topped with thinly sliced potato and cheese (I just partook of one slice!) with sweet corn and peas followed by lemon Oppo cheesecake with cream and LC chocolate granola.

Do you think slices of grilled aubergine would work in an alternative lasagne? Like a cross between lasagne and melanzane parmigiana (which I love but the old guy is not impressed by).

I would regard that as an improved parmigiana and yes it would work.

I have these trays and they do help with crisping the base. More on pizza shortly!

Bed on Wednesday 6.9 FBG 7. Still got a surge but nowhere near as bad as it's been. Was a very up and down day but still sitting a little higher overall. Looking better today though.
B. TAG with ADOC and a slice if that Asda mortadella with paprika.
L. 4 lamb koftas, 2 falafels and a cream cheese bite having purchased them when I went to get eggs for the boys.
D. @Chook - I may have found the answer to your pizza - not a fathead dough in sight! Tonight I had a full sized pizza made with Dr Almond pizza mix. Like all Dr Almond mixes it is incredibly easy and you can yeast it which makes it very pizza like! They suggest using a little honey to feed the yeast - I used inulin. You add it to the 350mls of warm water you are going to be using to mix with their pizza mix to form the dough. Leave it for 30 mins to activate the yeast then mix as normal. I also have their bamboo fibre to flour the exterior and my rolling pin. Next time I'll try the yeast the traditional way and knock back to dough to see how that works.
Once I'd rolled out the pizza nice and thin got it onto one of the pizza trays (@Goonergal note) just made it up with tomato, salami, thinly sliced mushroom, cheese and mixed herbs - into oven for 20 mins and it produced the most pizza like pizza I've had in ages. Well worth yeasting the dough. Their pizza mix is £6.49 and that makes 2 large pizzas if like me you prefer thin and crispy.
Had a scoop of ice cream (halo top) with raspberries later.
Been for breakfast with the Easter Bunny this morning. Just relaxing now.

Breakfast bacon, egg and a mushroom
Lunch tin of sardines in olive oil and small piece of cheese
Dinner salmon in lemon butter, asparagus, cauli cheese and glass white wine and soda followed by jelly and yoghurt
Happy Easter all we have family meal tomorrow I’m so looking forward to it.

Bed 7.8 FBG 7.2. Still surging but a lot better. My entire morning was taken up with the Easter Bunny. It was actually really good value. They had little flower pots on the tables with chocolate eggs and chicks in them for the kids. They were all greeted by the Bunny (he must have been sweltering in that suit!) and Mum's & Dads could take photos. Full breakfasts and the kiddies also had crayons and game/colouring sheets and a craft session to make Easter Cards. Party games with the Bunny then all the kids got a large Lindt Bunny. A lot longer than I expected and the kids enjoyed it.
B. With the Bunny - 1 sausage, fried egg, GF black pudding, 1/2 tomato , slice back bacon and a slice of GF toast. Americano coffee. I passed the hash brown and the beans to others.
L. Just water - not hungry.
D. Sliced a chicken breast which I dipped in Fage yoghurt and crumbed in my crispy sesame mix and fried in olive oil. Served with sour cream and chive dip and a caprese salad (avocado, tomato and mozzarella pearls) and egg mayonnaise.
25g Montezuma black forest chocolate.
Got a washing done at nieces today and now dealing with a letter she got for my brother failing to submit his tax return on time from good old HMRC 1) he retired 4 years ago 2) The paid a rebate to his estate and 3) They even marked the letter to the representatives of the estate of brother (deceased)! Obviously no one checks what the computer churns out!

Breakfast; a salted duck egg - delicious.
Lunch; a left over chicken thigh with a bit of salad in Saracha mayo.
Made some carb free hot cross buns - they didn’t know that they were carb free but I put crosses on them, so they probably still work. Scoffed 2, don’t feel very holy.
Dinner; home made burger with cheese and an egg on top, side salad and some wine.

Breakfast: my usual low carb coconut ‘porridge’ with strawberries and cream washed down with a black coffee.
Lunch cooked by my daughter who’s home from Uni. She does this recipe for herself often and realised it was low carb so offered to cook it for me! Stir fried aubergine, red onion, yellow pepper, courgette and proscuitto with garlic and chilli. It was delicious followed by Greek yoghurt and raspberries.
Mid afternoon: raspberry phd bar and black coffee.
Dinner: bbq chicken legs with cauliflower and broccoli salad, coleslaw and pork scratchings followed by SF jelly, cream and LC chocolate granola

Oh my WORD @shelley262 what a Hollywood vamp silhouette! You look fabulous-- the modeling contracts are going to come pouring in! Wonderful article, too. Were you happy with what they printed? Enjoy family meal, too!
Bfast a departure, tried bc of what last night's chia pudding did to BGs. 2 carbs of chia/soy/cinnamon pudding, which is a giant huge amount, egg, beginnings of DWSAC.
Lunch rest of decaf, a seltzer, and one gorgeous ripe green olive, Castel-something. Eating with Mom in car and she guilted me into eating
BG plummeted by 7 hr. Personal best, well within normal. Yay! The chia pudding, unfortunately, has been sitting like a cannon ball. And I desperately desired something more avocado- or orange juice-like. Might not be sustainable.
Having some chix broth and may break down for DWC.
Supper celery, wilted spinach, and a low carb salmon burglar from Costco. Maybe an olive (really? No carbs in this type??) and/or a cherry tom or so. ETA: if I get to making the butter pecan ice cream for family Easter, there will be spoon licking and pecan eating.
I am falling asleep here on the couch at 4:30 pm, so had better go do laundry and dishes and pay bills. Lolol I just dreamed I said, to someone about something, the words "very secular processing ad"! $5 to anybody who knows what that is.
