Son has this one but it's currently unavailable on Amazon. You can use it in a number of ways and add extra layers.Well I never! That looks great, and it brings me neatly to another topic I was going to ask you or maybe @maglil55 about - namely dehydrators, can you recommend one? Daughter 1 and I were looking on Amazon tonight with the intention of getting one between us ( mostly for dog treats but hopefully biltong too) There seems such a range of prices though and I can’t see much difference.
Well yesterday we moved to Manchester Airport as SIL & BIL started the long haul back to Australia today (they've just landed in Dubai). Bed on Saturday was 6.2 FBG 7.5. Had my final breakfast in Chester before setting off by coach for Manchester Airport. Quite down in the dumps.
B. Pot of coffee with cream. Usual fry up - fried egg, slice back bacon, 2 GF sausages, 1 slice GF black pudding, mushrooms and my slice of GF toast.
L. Consisted of a rhubarb and ginger gin in the Airport Hilton with SIL while OHs watched the football.
D. Campari and soda and shared a bottle of white with SIL. Starter of goats cheese, beetroot and pine nut starter. Butterfly chicken breast done in lemon, parsley and chilli with a mixed salad. Americano with cream.
All very emotional saying goodbye as SIL preferred to deal with the emotion at night rather than the morning as they were off early.
Today - Monday. Still feeling pretty down in the dumps (it got worse). Bed 6.9 FBG 6.7. Spent the morning rejigging cases and messaging SIL before heading off to Manchester Airport train station to head home.
B. Americano with cream and my final hotel fry up. 2 GF sausages, slice back bacon, 1 slice GF black pudding, fried egg and 1/2 tomato.
L. Changed from transpennine to virgin at Preston. 2 vodkas and diet Pepsi, bottle of water and managed to get a quiche of feta, tomato and spinach which I was able to remove from its pastry case and leave that bit. Couple of black coffees.
Picked up some bits and bobs in M&S in Waverley, headed home and went to open the windows as the house is very hot and to my horror a large portion of our bedroom ceiling now resides on our bed. Spent quite a while on the phone to the insurance emergency number and a plumber has now arrived. No idea yet if it's a leak or the roof. Either way I wont be in my own bed tonight as fibreglass insulation bulging down overhead isn't inspiring sleep!
Ah well just have to wait and see. Hope it isnt the roof as thunderstorms are forecast. Don't think we'll eat anything else tonight.

One of my birthday cards today! Luckily as this is a low carb thread I didn’t obey the card! I’ve been absent a few days because of complex caring stuff but hope to catch up soon and meanwhile thought I should post my birthday days food. Think of you all and hope to get back to regular posting if / when life gets less care worn!
Breakfast smoked salmon and scrambled eggs
Lunch out gammon and eggs
Dinner steak, mushroom sauce and onion with glass of prossecco and glass red wine, followed by strawberries and cream andbit of hotel chocolatebirthday choc. View attachment 34688

Hello mouseee, are you wanting to lose weight? If not you will need to increase your calories. Possibly even double them.No breakfast as I was driving my husband on a 1 hr 30mins round trip to drop him at work for a week. Because somehow he lost the key between 5.25am and 5.30am.
Lots of exercise as I stripped the house down to search for them when I got back. No luck though.
Someone coming to sort it tomorrow.
No lunch either. A small handful of Brazil's.
Big dinner though... in comparison with what I've been eating.
Chicken thigh stuffed with mozzarella and sundried tomato and wrapped in bacon with mushroom cauliflower rice. Delicious.
I am concerned I'm not eating enough though. Carbs nice and low but not many calories. Regularly less than 800 a day. Advice???
Funnily enough I said the same thing to Hubby as the bulk of the collapse is on his side of the bed. In fact the largest chunk would have landed on his head!Happy birthday @shelley262 hope it’s been a lovely day.
@maglil55 I can’t believe your rotten homecoming! When you were feeling glum anyway, to walk in to your ceiling down must have really been the pits. Glad it’s not the roof though, and hope it is soon fixed. At least you weren’t in bed when it happened!
Many thanks to @DCUKMod @Brunneria ( also hugs for your persistent bug) and @maglil55 for dehydrator tips. Daughter and I are meeting up at the weekend to discuss our research and decide what to get. I’m sure she said she was in a Facebook dehydrator group but I may have dreamt it.
