Yeah I can get lactose free things here, but worried about it spiking my blood sugar, it's ok. Coconut milk in coffee this morning is causing no problems, I have a coconut yoghurt to try out over the next few days. Will have a big talk to the diabetes specialist this morning who is an endocrinologist as well as a cardiologist, as life has gotten on top of me and I am struggling at the moment. Will ask for a lactose intolerance test, I mean diary has always given me asthma, so maybe this is just an evolution of that. I also have nearly lost two thirds of my body weight in two years, so that could be affecting things.Enforced OMAD for me today after dentist appt this afternoon. 1/2 my face is still numb. ( the rest of me is numb after paying for it)
Black coffee all morning.
Tuna salad with h/b egg and avocado for lunch. A DGF brownie& cream afterwards to lift my spirits before dentist. ( my Sunday only rule already broken!!)
@ziggy_w lovely to see you again.
@shelley262 hugs for water levels still rising near you! When will it end?
@Winnie-the-Pooh hope you feel better soon, have you suffered with kidney stones before? Horribly painful I believe.
@Quinn1066 good luck for your appointment tomorrow. It does sound as if dairy might be an issue for you, can you get lactofree where you are?
@ianpspurs hope all your family feel better soon, thank goodness you are nearby now so can help out. I bet your grandson loved having you around today.
@DCUKMod and @Antje77 I wouldn’t have a deep fat fryer either - they scare the life out of me. I’m not very good with pans, I burn them a lot as I forget about them. I’d be a liability with a hot pan of fat.

@DJC3 I'm with you on the numb feeling re paying for dentists. After my mini mortgage for last years treatment I went today to find out about the next step in my treatment - a further mere 1k is the quote and my dentist is very keen on the word “only’ ie it will only be 1k for this bit! This is all related to one tooth removal and replacement how would I cope with more than one!
I’m also feeling shocked about the next flood that’s happening here already in Bewdley and is predicted to be the worst ever! They are talking about a historical high mid week but it’s already really high and Bewdley bridge is now closed again to pedestrians as well as cars it’s been closed to cars now for more than a week.
Had to go for caring visit today and roads round added so much time to the job! We are due to help out other son in brum tomorrow not too optimistic re how long it will take us to get there and back! Heard today that once this flood goes down there is likely to be another peak next weekend so not expecting this to change any time soon!
OMAD, as hardly at home, frittata and salad followed by a few raspberries and Greek yoghurt. Did take flask of coffee out with me and planning two flasks tomorrow! Will be OMAD tomorrow but have some chaffles in freezer ready to celebrate pancake day!
@ianpspurs hope things improve soon re family health issues
Thank you but luckily our home is up a steep hill so thankfully it’s more general inconvenience and feeling for others who are flooded. Spring will happen eventually!@shelley262 I hope and pray that the excess water doesnt get to your home, its bad enough disrupting you getting to your family. @ianpspurs sorry to hear of the family lurgy hope Julie gets better soon and DIL. I think you and GS probably are having a fruitful time.
My food today is the usual slice LL toast, thick Cornish salted butter and tea x2.
Lunch out at Browns with two very old and precious friends was a fishcake followed by breaded (sorry) pollack and mixed salad, water and coffee.
Tonight will be a small (forme) two egg cheese & tomato omelette.
I agree white wine in fridge! When shopping for eldest I bought some daffodils and primrose plants too to remind me that spring will eventually come. XOh crikey! That’s for dental fees and floods. What a difficult time you’re having at the moment. I’m glad you are still able to get out to see to your son, even if it’s taking much longer. Good luck getting to Brum. I think more than coffee will be needed by the time you get back!
Evenin’ All,
B: bacon and egg
L: ham rollups
D: chicken wings tossed in HOT mango and lime chutney (v small amount of chutney due to the unbelievable hotness!)
we also batch cooked 4 lo dough pizzas. Mr B ate 1. The other 3 are now cooling for his breakfasts.
He is (oddly) a little doubtful about cold pizza for breakfast. Strange man.
I have told him that if he doesn’t like them, then I will eat them instead.

Leftover curry and now cold pizza for breakfast. I like Team B’s style!
i do seem to be revisiting student eating habits, don’t I?
Except this time it’s very LC.
Which is a bit weird, to be honest.
I’m used to a bit of guilt seasoning on my indulgences.
It would definitely spare time to prepare breakfastSo long as you don’t start waking up with a half eaten kebab next to you!
