Sorry you're having so many issues. I really hope it sorts itself out. xxxYesterday 26/02/2020
Big day yesterday. Struggling with everything diabetes specialist (both endo and cardiologist) said my HbA1c had come back down to 26, or 4.5 in old money. Heck I have eaten more fruit then I ever have done in the past two months, porridge for breakfast, white corn tortillas, red meat in the last month. Apparently if I loose more weight I risk kidney damage, my liver enzymes are raised still but that's probably to do with my health state. I am now anemic and apparently am not supposed to lose anymore weight. Easier said then done. OCD, anxiety, depression and other chronic health conditions suck.
Breakfast: travelling. At home 3 white coffee with unsweetened coconut milk blend. Then 2 black coffee, 50g rolled oats, 68g blueberries, 30g sunflower, pepita mix.
Snack: sugar free gum
Lunch: 24g massdam cheese, 132g champagne ham, 2 white corn tortilla, mustard, 30g raw carrot, 122g tomato, 122g cucumber.
Dinner: 195g boiled broccoli, 4 large eggs, 2 slices shortcut bacon, 20ml salsa
I have had no problems with uploading pix either with the Chrome browser or app, that's why I recommend I them...@Tipetoo - there's quite a few recent reviews on imgur saying photos are not uploading on the recent version. I'll wait and see how it develops.
Thankyou for the kind thoughts. I have taken this semester off uni, I am going to do some intense work, monitor whats happening with my medical team of specialists, probably start some new meds, but I know they can affect blood sugar. My stomach is well and truly stuffed, it exploded yesterday morning and no dairy, heck I was on the loo in the middle of the night last night. arghh, still hanging in here, at least the diabetes is managed.Sorry you're having so many issues. I really hope it sorts itself out. xxx
You'll notice a big difference in taste compared to the sweet pickle. DIL prefers them too so I usually end up getting jars of them! Ignore the bit about use by 5 days after opening. I've kept them in the fridge for weeks!
The white one jumped out during the test drive. On the front! But he emerged on the backside of the trailer none the worse for wear so I guess it's a good thing the trailer is to be used for the baby (and the lazy black dog) and the white one can just trot along
Bed 5.9 FBG 5.2. Ended up with the boys here until well after 6pm because a bus broke down which held up son's bus and many others. I had to rejig things because Hubby had gone off to the pub tonight (since he was off colour yesterday) so had to detour to collect him as he hadn't taken his keys. @ziggy_w - lovely to see you back again. @DJC3 - hugs for the dental trip. You have DD meals that are not on my week and I haven't changed much. @ianpspurs - how's Julie?
B. Just TAG.
L. A chicken thigh and a drumstick from yesterday's DD buffalo chicken but just the chicken.
D. With the running about due to late return of son, I ate 6 walnuts while I was making dinner. Tonight was the DD pizza omelette, half of which is for tomorrow. I have no idea what I did differently this time but it puffed up in the oven and was really light. I do like this one too. Just had the omelette.
I was toying with the idea of making souffle pancakes but, it's 8pm and I can't be bothered.
@shelley262 - that really is an ouch estimate for the dentist. I see they have revised your peak again. I do hope the barriers hold.
Regarding the duck moo grob...
I think the pork belly is so excellent because it is succulent alternate layers of v tender (long slow cooking) meat and fat.
Duck skin is fab in the air fryer, but the meat is dense and relatively lean.
it might work if you sliced the raw breast and layered it with skin in between.
Or simply minced the meat and duck skin together and made meat balls.
Actually, duck meatballs, air fried... oh. Gonna have to try this!
Please let us know the results of your experiment! Thanks for your very helpful input, @Brunneria. (Thank you too, @Antje77).
I agree pork seems the perfect meat for moo grob. Unfortunately, I made a bargain when first diagnosed with diabetes to give up pork in exchange for getting "healthy" again. (Long story there.)
Will try the layering, though, or using layers of duck fat and chicken meat.
