Evenin’ All,
interesting day.

Followed by 3rd appt with physiotherapist for my R knee. Discharged with instructions to continue doing her utterly pointless exercises (consistently for 8-10 weeks) The exercises that have absolutely no benefit/relation to the bits of my leg that hurt when I arrived for my first appt.
I know this because I have researched them, their purpose, and the musculature of the leg.
Oh well, I suppose that is what happens when you give qualifications to 14 yr olds and send them out into the world with no consequences to them for their actions.
Meanwhile, I now have
two knees that are equally aggravated by her exercises. I know the aggravation is due to her exercises, because it worsens when I do them, and improves when I don’t. It is deep inflammation pain under kneecaps, not healthy muscle building pain.
When I mentioned this, she smiled and said ‘oh yes, but you must keep them up. Arthritis is takes a long time to get better!

‘
- which is a teensy bit misrepresentative, I think, don’t you?
I mean, arthritis is usually a one way trip, isn’t it? And the pain stops, sure, but only when high as a kite on painkillers, or in the grave. Or when you slowly, carefully, gently, infinitesimally rebuild cartilage, and gradually (without strain) build strength into the structures supporting the joint.
You can tell I am a little irritated, but will stop ranting now.
L: a delicious steak out in pub with Mr B. 5 chips.
He was driving, so I pushed the boat out with a very pleasant mojito (least carby option, I thought). Delish.
D: a ramekin of baked cheese and diced chorizo. Eaten with a spoon.
I now intend to cease Ms Physio’s exercises immediately, hopefully allow my knees to recover from her damage, and then start - v gently - on exercises that will actually help.
