Todays evening meal was a hamburger speciaal.(Noticed how you're secretly learning to order all kinds of yummy foods if you ever visit the Netherlands just by reading my posts on this thread? )
No bun ('zonder broodje', should you ever need it), but lots of good stuff to go with it: Lots of endive, two thin slices of halloumi, two rashers of bacon, melted cheese, half a tomato, a small onion (biggest half fried, smallest half raw), mayonnaise and piri-piri sauce (which Lidl sold so I had to try).
My favourite used to be een uitsmijter. Not sure if that's spelt right. It's 62 years since I lived in Nederland
I would not like to have to pay for that lot of steak at the prices he is charging at present, last time we got rib steak from him it was $32.00 a kg.@Riva_Roxaban , you Aussies certainly know how to do a barbecue. Would gladly help devour that offering.
L: 90 second tuna bread (half from memory with few additions, 2 small eggs, blitzed with half a tin of tuna, sprinkle baking power, handful grated cheese, 1 tblspoon milled seeds, 1 tablespoon ground almonds, cooked in microwave until middle set, then toasted under grill with extra cheese on top). Very filling
