What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

I roasted a chicken yesterday with similar objectives to yours. Served with our own runner beans and shop-bought cauliflower. Today's dinner will be cold chicken and a lavish salad. Tomorrow the leftovers will be made into bone broth as a basis for Lumpy Soup. So versatile and not expensive.
 
Fried, mashed vegetables with 2 fried eggs, quite early this morning - having been up since just before 4 am, it seemed quite appropriate to eat around 8 am. But, with any luck, that will be it for the rest of the day.

I have an idea that a couple of friends, who intend to go for a walk this afternoon, might end up here at the end of their walk. So I'd better make sure I have something for them to have with a cup of tea. Not sure what but I don't suppose it's going to be keto!
 
Just one meal today and a very delicious one too. The before picture is in Carnivore Corner. These are the ‘after’ pics. A deliciously fatty piece of rolled brisket picked up at a farmer’s market a couple of weekends ago. Will be going back to that trader! Cooked in the slow cooker (well slow cook function of the IP) and finished in the air fryer. Reduced the juices down a bit for a more intense ‘gravy’.

 
B: 2 hard boiled eggs
2 hour dog walk
L: salad with 1 egg,, 1 slice of ham, 1 bit manchego. 2 strawberries with clotted cream
Evening dog walk found a hidden nook on the coast. Oh for enough money to live there!
D: cold coronation chicken ( had same idea sa earlier posts, but bought my chicken ready cooked!), salad. 1 strawberry with tiny icecream. 1 glass white wine with lots of soda
 
Friday 15 July - bed 8.2 FBG 8.4. It was a very muggy night despite it being cloudy most of the day @MrsA2 I hope your tum has settled now and @Annb you have some relief with your legs. My ankles are holding up after the Physio visit but the legs are beginning to tighten so time to work on them again.

B. TAG and 2 slices of SLC toast with pate.

L. Nothing

D. M&S pork, cheese, onion sausage with romanesco. Sausages are oven cooked. They come with a separate BBQ sauce which I substituted with skinny, chilli sauce.
Been ages since I had romanesco.
 
Breakfast: my usual low carb coconut ‘porridge’ with strawberries washed down with a black coffee.
Late morning: black coffee and a phd bar.
Skipped lunch.
Mid afternoon: black coffee and an Aldi protein bar.
Dinner: LC sausage roll, sweet and crunchy salad, baby tomatoes and coleslaw followed by SF raspberry jelly and cream.

 
1000hrs, scrambled eggs 1x sausage , avacado, mushrooms half a grilled tomato
1500hrs , BBQ pork belly , chicken wings& legs , chicken breast, burger, asparagus and cheese cauliflower
1800hrs , some kippers fried in butter
Couple glasses of vino
Nuts and dark chocolate. . Will see how numbers are in the morning
 
16 July - bed 7 5 FBG 6 6. I'm beginning to wonder if the humidity is causing the ups and downs with my BGs. Cloudy again today. My cool clothes are still sitting out waiting for the heatwave!

B TAG and 2 slices of SLC toast with salmon pate.

L. Nothing. Took boys to jujitsu then shopping.

D. Vodka and diet coke. Salad of cold cuts - slice each ham, wafer thin roast beef, ox tongue, ham & egg roll, smoked chicken with coronation sauce . Santini tomatoes, 1/2 avocado, boiled egg. Plenty water.

Today Sunday 17 July - bed 8.9 FBG 8.1 Back up again!

B. TAG and 2 slices of SLC toast with salmon pate to finish it.

L. Nothing - trip to recycling with son in tow (useful for sorting into different skips!) then took him for some BBQ meats. Still Cloudy but it is warm.

D. M&S lamb cutlets with thyme, rosemary and garlic (really tasty) with wilted spinach, tomatoes and green beans. 4 strawberries with a spoonful of Skyr yoghurt. Usual campari and soda.

While I await this heatwave, I decided to get my ironing done this afternoon. All windows open and I survived it!
 
Omitted to add, I did take half of one of Hubby's roast potatoes (a small one) with the cutlets.
 
Morning all. Didn't post yesterday as I had a picky day and didn't pick the right things, so it's better you don't know! Today, am fasting till 1 then will have cold meat and salad and egg mayo and cress on Ryvitas for teatime and pray I can stick to my guns! Atm, I am in a rebellious mood so who knows. Will do my best.
 
Not the low carb day I intended to have. I ran out of wholemeal bread and, of all things, bacon. Eggs are pretty low as well after my baking yesterday (for people who didn't come anyway, so the banoffee cake I made went home with Alistair this morning). I used the last egg to make some pancakes with the last of the orange juice and had a couple for my breakfast. Had another couple for my lunch just now. BG has responded pretty well to that. I will try to make something with cauliflower when I get home this afternoon.

Neil will go to the supermarket while I'm with the nurse and see what he can get from the list.
 
No eggs! Tragedy!
No ham, but that wasn't unexpected.
He did manage to get smoked salmon, lorne sausage and black pudding, so it's not all bad.
Edit: he also got some bacon and I've just realised that I have some liver out of the freezer to use, so that with some onion and the bacon will be tonight's meal.

Don’t think I posted yesterday, but there was a BbQ and I ate a ton of meat.
Todays food:
B- very unbreakfasty pate on M&S crackers and a bit of cold chicken
L/ smoked salmon and cream cheese in SLC roll
D- Ham and eggs with turmeric&ginger sauerkraut. Tried a glass of red but I’d rather have tea in this weather.
 
B: bella mushrooms fried in bacon grease with a little white onion diced; and chocolate pudding made of 1 5 avocados, 1/2 cup homemade whipped cream, dash of salt, cocoa powder, vanilla and stevia (yum!!!).

L: fried mushrooms leftover from breakfast and two chicken drumsticks cooked in IP with bullion and then cooked in air fryer with EVOO, spiced, (garlic powder and parika), salt and pepper.

Still afternoon here in NYC area. Thus, no dinner report at this time.
 
Almost OMAD again today, but got peckish after the first meal. That was chicken wings and lamb ribs, air fried. Hadn’t intended just one meal, but didn’t get to eat until mid afternoon. Predictably as this wasn’t really enough for an OMAD, wound up hungry so heated up remains of yesterday’s brisket, which wasn’t much!

 
Distracted yesterday, but still had Sunday breakfast of egg , bacon, sausage, white pudding, mushrooms , half slice of fried bread, and lots of black coffee.
No lunch, just iced coffee and water throughout the day.
Dinner, rump steak, halloumi fries, salad. Didn’t feel like having my usual Sunday red wine. Usually unheard of!
 
Brunch - kefir with mixed berries and a drizzle of double cream over the top. Mug of earl grey & 1 square lindtt 90%.

Dinner - Prawn cocktail & salmon with large side salad. Strawberries & double cream.
