What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Morning all.:happy::happy:. That's how I feel today!! It's my last posting for 2 weeks and I am so excited! :D In my fridge I have some eggs, half a sweetheart cabbage, 2 slices of ham, small piece of cheese and some soft cheese. I can make a decent meal out of that. And some blueberries for afters but no cream :(. Also have some Ryvitas. See you in 2 weeks. Take care everyone.

Looks like I shall be fasting until tomorrow lunch! Shopping delivered. Had some ham. Had decided to order cream cheese and on special offer so ordered 5.....enough for a few weeks.
Started off with 1/4 tub and by 11.45 had eaten the rest of the pot..... total carbs for the day 23.... water from now on. :angelic: Smoked salmon and that is that....

This definitely made for one of the most unappetizing looking meals I ever made but thankfully I'm not fooled by looks, it tasted delicious! :hungry:
It must be Make The Most Unappetizing Looking Meal Week this week, and I'm headed for the trophy!
Made a completely different meal from yesterday, just as tasty, and possibly even worse looking! :hilarious:

Earlier this week I found out the tents I have (too many) are all too big, incomplete, eaten by mice, or with the stuff making the seams waterproof completely disintegrated, and I need a small tent for my trip to the UK early next month.
Found a cheap (30 euros) tent I wanted to buy, told a friend, turns out she has that exact tent bought 3 years ago and wants to sell it!
So I saved 10 euros (her tent being as good as new), and also bought an air mattress, a power bank, and a double usb charger for in the car in the city where she lives. :)

She's going on holiday tomorrow so I left with the contents of her fridge too, among which a rather sorry looking leek, a bell pepper, a single tomato, an opened pot of pesto and a tub of cream cheese.
Looked like a tasty combination to me, so I only added a large onion and a Dutch salami like sausage which is usually eaten cold just like it is but does do fine when cut up in a meal as well.

While cooking, I realised this is typical camping food, only one pan needed and no ingredients needing to be kept cool, must have been all the thinking of camping today! :hilarious:

So for a finishing touch, I served the resulting delicious mess on a plastic plate to keep in style with the day theme. :D

Enough left for tomorrow too, and then I'm off for a weekend of sailing again, with likely improvised cold food.

(It really looks remarkably horrible, despite the excellent taste, sorry!)

The forum seems to only accept 'shrunken' pics. On some phones you can reduce the 'size', you can also use an app for it (not sure what app, I'm not very savvy when it comes to stuff like this).
Personally, when I want to post a pic I post on Facebook first, changing the audience to 'only me' and copy and paste from there.
Likely not the easiest or most logical way, but it works for me.

I use a hosting website for my pix, called https://imgur.com/register?redirect=https://imgur.com/ set up a free account and you can post full size pictures directly from them here.

The forum app is a waste of time as is the upload feature in a browser. :meh:.

Mashed potatoes from the freezer or do they not go off, no matter the use by date?
Found a hidden bottle or had payday?
In either case, cheers, and glad you've had your dramagain!

Use by date for the spuds are when they're fresh I just took that one out of the freexzer to get it's picture taken.

Payday yesterday.

So back to Wednesday. All brekkies a slice of LC toast and lots of tea.
Lunch Wed and yesterday was cold meat, cucumber, tomatoes & coleslaw
Supper was mini meatballs on chilli & tom sauce with cauli rice.
Last night it was chunky cod fingers & cauli cheese.
Today am out with friend and know I will be having a salad because I’ve booked the place. Supper tonight will be Teriyaki Salmon with green veg.
Thankfully the peanut butter jar is now empty and in the bin as it can be too addictive late at night!

I use an iPad to post on the forum - via a browser, not the app. When I post a photo, at the point I select it - or if I’ve selected more than one, I can condense them all at once. See attached pics - if I click on ‘show selected’ there is then an option ‘actual size’, if I click on that then there is an option to select the size of photo (or group of photos) - needs to be about 1MB or less.

And to remain on topic, yesterday’s food started with ‘breakfast’ of the bits of cheese pinched from the hotel buffet still lurking in the in-room fridge. Then I had a feast with my Dad and sister at a Brazilian BBQ place - as much meat as you can eat, with plenty of Picanha. That was ‘lunch’ but did as dinner too.

Hurrah! I'm back on. Had to change my password but it finally allowed me to do that. I was only locked out for 3 days, but I missed you guys.

Had a ham sandwich for breakfast because I was going to the dentist and knew it would be well into the afternoon before I could eat again.

Had another tooth out and my new dental plate finally fixed so that it fits without too much pain. Dentist said to keep the plate in for the rest of today, all night and all day tomorrow, to protect the big hole where a tooth used to fill the gap. My face is just beginning to thaw out now but I should keep to soft foods for a while.

So I have a pot of beef mince ready to eat when I am able. It will be a while because Em is here and making pancakes. I would share it with her but mince is one of the few foods she just won't eat.

Not sure that I like this new format (guess the change over was the reason for me being locked out) but maybe when I get used to it, it'll be OK. But as far as I can see, I can only give a "like" but no hugs or informatives etc. and only a very limited range of responses - why do we need an "angry" one? Edited to add that bit after etc.

Well who knew I could hide things so effectively. Back from a week away and headed to Waitrose and Lidl to buy vast quantities of meat. While in Lidl I picked up a bar of their 85% chocolate, completely forgetting that I’d hidden a bar of Lindt 90% on top of the back cans of Diet Coke on the top shelf of the fridge so I couldn’t see it! It only came to view as I was struggling to fit everything I’d bought in.

Anyway, 2 squares of the 85% have now been consumed. That followed some air fried pork belly pieces and this morning’s cashew nuts.

No pics.
