We try not to criticise on this thread as we each find our own way that works for us, but I do wonder if you could perhaps look after yourself a little better? I am worried about youB: Nothing
L: nothing
D: 1 can coke
Hugs, and more hugs, and a suggestion to try some counselling to ease the grief a little?Morning all. 2 years ago today, my beautiful daughter had a massive stroke from which she never recovered. So today's menu will be anything if I fancy it. I do have some bacon and eggs but no appetite atm. Yesterday I ate for England, just can't cope with the grief .
I can't imagine how bad it can be to lose a child. Even if they are adult, it goes against everything that we expect of life. I do know how long it took me to get over losing my mother at a relatively early age, so can quite see how difficult this must be for you. Eventually, I believe it will ease a little, although it will always be there. If your grief affects you badly during the rest of the year, perhaps it is time to ask for help. There are cousellors out there who could offer relief and advice. Maybe you could ask your doctor what help might be available.Morning all. 2 years ago today, my beautiful daughter had a massive stroke from which she never recovered. That's ok, I have to do better and I don't think anyone should follow what I ate today or yesterday. We try not to criticise on this thread as we each find our own way that works for us, but I do wonder if you could perhaps look after yourself a little better? I am worried about you
That sounds much better. Still, unless there's a reason for not having eggs twice, I would go with the bacon and egg breakfast. That's ok, I have to do better and I don't think anyone should follow what I ate today or yesterday.
Today has not been much better unfortunately:
B: nothing
L: nothing
D: Cup of reconstituted dried soup. 99% sugar free ice cream
There is a reason for this (I love eating!) which will be fixed by tomorrow (I've spoken to 3 endos today, 2 of which are considered amongst the best in my country... not cheap even over the phone). It could be fixed now but it's almost 9PM here so I'll have an orange or banana and call it a day.
I'll be back to eating normally tomorrow and not starving myself.
Tomorrow's planned menu (I bought everything this afternoon):
B: Bacon, eggs, tomato, orange juice. Maybe a banana
L: Quiche with salad (lettuce, tomato, onion, feta cheese, kalamata olives, corn kernels for carbs)
D: Corned beef with carrots and cabbage with garlic. Maybe mashed potato as well.... depends on my BSL
I might change breakfast because I'm having quiche for lunch (eggs) so a cereal breakfast might be better for balance and variety. So maybe cereal and yoghurt.... will see what happens in the morning
Locked in! There's no reason I can't have eggs twice except for variety maybe. But I do like my bacon and eggs, so that's decided (that didn't take much persuasion). Edit: much, much better than "nothing"That sounds much better. Still, unless there's a reason for not having eggs twice, I would go with the bacon and egg breakfast.
Plenty eggs in our local supermarkets. The only thing that has gone is the double yolks, but that isn't unusual. The Coop sign said it was because of bird flu and the hens being kept inside so not officially free range, but that doesn’t explain why there were no eggs at all. Or why they couldn’t sell ‘not quite’ free range eggs!
Very pretty. I hope they tasted as good as they look. After days of tasty but not very good looking food (I love peanut sauce but it doesn't improve the looks of your meal to be honest) I now made up for that with the prettiest meal I made in a long time!
No idea what type of lettuce it is, it was on offer and sold as 'snack lettuce'. It had a picture of stuffed lettuce leaves on it so I took the hint.
I made 3 with garlic cream cheese, fried sucuk and onion and sundried tomatoes, 3 with cottage cheese, smoked trout fillets and horseradish, and 3 with egg mayo, raw onion and smoked pork belly.
Ate 2 of each, so tomorrow will be the rest plus a sandwich or such.
Very long day tomorrow, having the kittens neutered an hour drive away at a rescue center (cheap), so I'll spend the day there volunteering to pass the time until I can bring them back home. Have to be there at around 8 AM, which is pretty much the middle of the night for me, so not having to prepare dinner after getting home will be very welcome!
