What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

@RosemaryJackson definitely no tut-tutting here either, it’s been a difficult few days for you so forget the pie and start afresh tomorrow.
@Annb have you tried inulin? I’m wondering if a spoonful a day stirred into an evening drink might help things along without adding too much fibre. I add it to the starter culture of my h/m yoghurt as it’s a good probiotic too.
Todays food:
B: 2 fried eggs, slice of cheese and slice of schneiderbrot protein bread
L: DGF brownie, just to use the last of the clotted cream I had in the fridge.
D: roast top rump of beef, cauli cheese, puréed swede, roast broccoli and pepper, green beans with garlic. Couple (!) of glasses of wine. Made proper gravy and Yorkshire puds for everyone else and felt a bit hard done by.

@RosemaryJackson tough times but every day is a new chance to start again and to move towards where you'd like to be.
@Annb I'm with @DJC3 re the inulin as you could just add a spoon to the liquid which maybe less likely to cause issues but hopefully add enough fibre especially if you also add cream to the drink. I find a coffee with cream or a portion of kefir works way better for me than any fibre.
10ish kefir with some lime zest and my supplements
1ish used some of the extra virgin olive oil to cook with that I use to store and plump up tinned olives - I drain a tin of olives which are stored in water, put them in a glass jar with olive oil and then use over a few weeks using remaining oil to cook with its delicious.
Mushroom omelette cooked in the olive oil served with some beetroot kimchi and hm sauerkraut with added olives and tomatoes chopped in.

Mid pm a LC cake portion - a DGF not carrot cake lovely cinnamon flavour
5ish slow cooked beef with cabbage and one small hm roast potato and glass of red wine followed by LC lemon drizzle cake warmed and served with yoghurt.

Bit of a day. Yesterday had a very very low b/s. Managed to get bloods up.
So today in my wisdom decided to buy coleslaw as Waitrose didn't have the veg to make my own. Also bought a pear!
Goodness it was so sweet....
Coffee and cream x 3
Coleslaw, German sausage and tomato.
Smoked salmon.
Now tummy upset!
Bloods ok today.

A little embarrassed to say that the rest of the clotted cream had been eaten with a spoon straight out of the pot.
I love clotted cream, same thing happens to me. Although last time made it last two days

I haven't. I often have issues with plant based supplements/sweeteners/starches so have rather given up on them. I don't trust such things as fructo-oligosaccharides, oligosaccharide, oligofructose etc, all of which are in inulin. Sadly, I think the Lactulose I have been given also contains artificial sweeteners.

You mean this isn't the way you are supposed to serve it?!?

Found myself doing the same a few times :D

Dinner was my bowl of veg

Spinach, rocket, fennel, lambs lettuce, shallot, cucumber, bit of tomato mixed with a spoon of olive oil, onion powder, garlic, salt pepper, paprika.

More veg recently, had to cut down a bit on all the meat a bit but keeping protein up,

Have lowered cals a lot, can tolerate about 16g of carbs a meal x2 a day before if balanced with fats/protein things go awry.

Also having a "free" bowl of veg a day which seems to have no effect at all but keeps things moving for me.

Not been hungry either which has been a bonus.

Morning all. Cwc so far. Im going to roast some veg today and be careful what I eat. Went to a Daffodil Tea at the church yesterday. There was a great quiz and a beautiful buffet. The vicar's wife and I lit a candle for my daughter and said a little prayer and I felt better. BUT..... I ate 3 pieces of cake and a piece of pork pie and a sausage roll. I can hear you all saying tut, tut, tut!!! She should know better and I agree. So today just roasted veg and for tea a piece of cheese. Have a nice day everyone.
No one is tut tutting. An understandable reaction to a sad day

Today 5 March - bed 8.2 FBG 7.2 A bit off colour overnight but OK again this morning. Another quiet day at home, but I'm going back to taking the boys to school again tomorrow. Vision is fine, and I'm still trying to get it in Hubby's head that I can't put my specs on! All of them are either full or partial prescription lenses.

B. TAG and a bit crustless quiche

L. 2 slices of SRSLY fruit loaf with butter and a CC little chocolate pot.

D. Usual campari and soda. Rib eye steak with Dianne sauce. Green beans, santini tomatoes, mushrooms.

@Annb - My brothers and sister had a bad habit of stealing any chocolate I had. Probably doing me a favour! However, I did stop my sister doing it. It was when I was much younger. You could buy Senokot Chocolate. I left it in full view. She ate the lot. She couldn't leave the house for 2 days!

A slightly burnt, slightly raw two egg omelette which obviously didn't fold over in the perfect way I had envisioned.
Also contained onion, sucuk, parmesan and arugola.

Had lots of arugola this week, bought 3 bags for 25 cents each on their last use by date on tuesday. It's starting to get a little wilted by now but still mostly fresh and crispy. :)

I remember seeing a packet of that chocolate a long time ago. We're talking 60+ years here. I remember my father telling me about a similar trick being played on a postman when the chocolate first came out. He ate so much of it, he ended up in hospital. I doubt if he saw the joke.

No tut tutting, you dealt with a situation no one should have to, as a mom I can’t imagine how you manage that. Glad the prayer was comforting for you and helped you to feel better.

How do you make almond/coconut flour pancakes?
Almond flour 3 spoons, coconut flour 3 spoons, xantham gum 1 spoon, spinach carrot,raddish- all chopped, salt, chilli powder, tumeric powder little ....mix all
Heat oil in a pan....and put the mixture on it and fry.
It takes more time to cook ..atleast 13 mins.
