78 today. Bad day as well because I'm having to use a wheelchair to get around the house - might have to lose some funiture. BG is in the 7's so it is still holding. Since I had little food and my BG was pretty low when I finally did eat, I didn't take any bolus insulin yesterday

Should, at least, have lost a bit of weight over the last day or so.
Many happy returns, Ann!
Wishing you a nice surprise when you're able to weigh yourself. You deserve it.

Happy Birthday @Annb but sorry its not a better day for you. Scrambled eggs with cheese are yummy and quick to make and comforting and nutritious. In fact what I had for lunch today with a large spoon of grated parmesan.
Yesterday didnt eat much other than usual brekkie of slice lc toast and tea.
By evening my appetite was back and had some nice chicken, sausages and a burger off bbq accompanied by a nice fresh salad.
today same usual brekkie.
lunch scrambled two eggs with grated parmesan and it really elevated the flavour.
supper will be leftover cold chicken and sausages with another salad, so minimal effort. have fallen in love with Stokes (low sugar) tomato ketchup after discovering it on holiday in Suffolk in June but limit it and only have it with meaty sausages.

2 Tins of Chickpeas. Or equivalent self soaked (No difference really).
1.5 tablespoons of Almond flour.
1 tablespoon Harissa paste.
1/4 tsp each of salt and black pepper.
Zest of a Lemon and a squeeze of Lemon Juice.
Fresh Coriander.
You can stick it all in a mixer or as I do, use a potato masher. (Easier to clean - just got to chop the coriander very fine)

I fry them in walnut oil. I just half everything to get 16 decent sized patties.

The flat bread is just Spelt flour, salt and water. Flattened between 2 acrylic kitchen sheets then fried in a dry pan both sides till they split inside and form a bubble shape.

Simple as that. Takes 5 minutes.

Cook Falaffel on both sides about 3 to 4 minutes on a medium heat (electric cooker mark 6.5)

Thanks @Mallyman , that sounds easy and tasty!
The flatbread is likely too carby for me, especially when already having all those chickpeas, but I'm going to give the falafel a try, thankfully it tastes good without bread as well. :)
Although your flatbread really looks amazing.

loving the cheese with candles great idea one to try reminds me of celebrating goonergals birthday in a Brazilian bbq restaurant where they served a steak with candles in it.
That's so funny, I ran into a post with a picture of that steak today!
Someone must have ran into that thread and liked my post (with the cheese, so I stole the idea for @Annb from my younger self after checking the 'like' alert).
Goonergal posted her birthday steak in reply to the cheese! :joyful:

I was surprised that my blood sugar was only 113mg that night before bed. I was 116 in the morning.

Question (rather urgent, I'm starting to get hungry):

Low carb wrap turned pizza.
How long do you think I should put it in the oven? And do I only use heat from the top because the wrap doesn't need baking, or do I still use heat from all sides? It's a small electric oven.
The pieces of meat are Turkish sucuk, a type of dried sausage that can be eaten as it is, so no worries about getting the meat done.

Spicy food which is too hot. Nasty people who have no idea on your life journey but feel the need to comment and be cruel.

I would say get the oven hot and then put in for 20/25 mins max.

Just thinking about breakfast which, if I can manoeuvre my way out to the back porch will be some slices of ham.

2nd meal will have to be pretty simple - maybe scrambled eggs - if I can reach the hob from this chair. Could add some cheese, I suppose but I shan't be messing about getting veg or salad organised.

Should, at least, have lost a bit of weight over the last day or so.
Happy birthday @Annb. I really feel for you as I am in a similar boat currently. I have no idea what is going on, but my right leg (which is my "good" leg) has been a major problem for days now. Severe and constant pins & needles are excruciating to try to walk on. Currently, I have my home version of flowtron boots going pretty much full time.

Thursday 10 August bed 7.2 FBG 7.4. Usual Aqua class this morning, picked up parcels from Next then had Hubby to get to football and back. He did take his mobile this time! He wouldn't dare have forgotten it.

B TAG and 2 slices of SRSLY toast with ham and a cheese triangle. Benecol dairy free.

L. A bit crustless quiche.

D. In between football "drives," a SRSLY hot dog complete with hot dog, mustard, ketchup and crispy onions. CC little chocolate pot.

I did have a fulfil bar at some point today.

Friday 11 August bed 7.8 FBG 7.4. Not doing anything in particular apart from taking son shopping later. To my horror, it was Ladies Day at the Racecourse, which delayed progress a lot!

B. TAG and 2 slices of SRSLY toast with ham and a cheese triangle. Benecol dairy free.

L. A bit of crustless quiche.

D. A bunless wagu burger with a cheese slice, lettuce and tomato. CC little chocolate pot with 2 strawberries. A gin and zero lemonade to recover from Ladies Day traffic.

Morning all. I am really struggling to give up bread all of a sudden. Yesterday I had a BLT for lunch with salad. For tea, I had 2 hardboiled eggs with mayo and cress, at least that was good! Today I have minced pork with small carrot, onion plus cauli and the last 2 runner beans off my plant. I quite like to eat them raw straight of the plant, they are so tasty and juicy. For tea maybe the rest of the cress with another egg. Have a good weekend everyone
I was exactly the same. I really missed bread, but I found that SRSLY products suited me. Yes, they are more expensive but it's worth it to me.

My fish restaurant dinner was really really good. The plates weren't purple, just the odd lighting.
Shared tempura prawns and mussels in cream sauce for starter.
Then shared hake in butter, salmon aranchini, octopus, and lamb kofta (not fish)
Hubby had bigger share of the carby bits
Lighting makes it look like chocolate remains on the plates.
