Thanks for your comments. I will be asking my GP about adjusting my Levothyroxine. My SIL had readings just at the bottom of the normal range and her GP didn't feel the need to make adjustments. But she has worked with doctors most of her adult life and was quite insistent that her dose of Levothyroxine should be increased. The GP complied and now she is feeling much less tired than she has done for many months.
I'm on 100Mcgm daily at present. Sounds like a lot but it really isn't. I'll get a chance to talk to the GP asap.My personal experience is if you are in range, they can get really dogmatic.
Before blood tests were so developed doctors used to be guided by what information that had, but also how the patient felt.
Unless you are on mahoosive doses, an extra 25mcgr or even 12.5 if they won't go 25 isn't likely to cause issues. I mean if you start with palpitations or become agitated you can always pare back again.
Anyway, that's just my 2p worth.
I completely forgot about the sausage boats, they're brilliant!D- Sausage boats, I think this was originally @Antje77 ‘s brainchild. Split length ways and filled with cream cheese and topped with parmesan then airfried

I think "brilliant holiday" are the key words here, and I also think you did a great job limiting carbs while they were shoved in your face all day!I've been away on a brilliant holiday
You had a good time. That's the important thing. Glad that it sounded so good - apart from the repeated cheese offerings. Sure you'll get rid of those 3lbs now that you are home.Hello everyone, I've been away on a brilliant holiday, island hopping by boat. All catered and with a free bar open from 11 am to 10 pm it was all very tempting.
B: each day was full buffet of fruits, cereals, cold meats, at least 4 bread/pastry options and hot eggs, bacon etc. I kept to seeds I'd taken with me and yoghurt, followed by eggs and occasionally the bacon.
L: was a main dish no choice so if it was too carby I got a cheese salad instead.
D: was mainly a fish or a meat with veg. I skipped dessert and had a little cheese instead, however it was the same cheese everyday for the entire week.
My downfall was the alcohol. I went from one wine spritzer a night to 3 and often followed it with a brandy or 2. Had one cocktail on the last afternoon.
And then there were ice cream shops everywhere, so probably had 4 or 5 over the week.
There was also a biscuit barrel by the tea/coffee so I had too many of those too often.
I took with me a packet of milled seeds, a packet of almonds, a packet of protein crackers, 4 nut bars and 1 bar 85% chocolate. The almonds and chocolate came in handy when everyone else was enjoying dessert and I was bored with my cheese. And the crackers went well with sliced meats and cheese from the breakfast for the return journey and inevitable airport delays.
Thought I'd done OK, but have come back 3 lbs heavier.
Did the occasional finger prick, 6s and 7s.
