We usually go to Longleat, and I’ve had very little trouble getting low carb options. I would say you’d need to avoid Café Rouge for lunch (very bread and chips with everything), they are fine for dinner though. The Pancake House is no good at all, no LC pancakes although they do do omelettes. Every where else have happily swapped things out for me. Have a great time xx
I'd completely forgotten about going to the gym at 4pm until my friend messaged me to pick me up.
There was a road closed so we took a route we didn't know on the way back and spotted a place that looked good for swimming so we went to check it out for possible future use.
And then we saw 3 women about to take a swim...
Recognising a challenge when it hits us in the face we of course joined them in our underwear, which was very cold (water temp about 11°C) but also a lot of fun, and those well prepared women were properly impressed by us just going in after them.
We're now part of a whatsapp group of people regularly swimming outside so I fully expect another cold dip in a week.
I think I didn't even spent 5 minutes in the water but it dropped my BG like a stone, very effective!
I still had no idea what to eat but I also told myself no excuses for not cooking again so I threw together a soup/stew thing with onion, bell pepper, leeks, cream and chorizo. And fresh herbs, a ridiculous amount of fresh herbs, parsley and dill. I don't use fresh herbs very often but I had them in the fridge (a complicated mistake) and they had to be used up so why not add them to the soup.
Turned out quite tasty, and enough left for two more days as well.
It looks like creamy soup with things, not worth a pic, so instead you'll get a pic of the three swimming ladies.
