Mine simply comes from the supermarket, no faff at all.The brand in my supermarket uses the skins as well.
Says 6.5 gr of carbs per 100, will likely be a bit lower if you make it yourself. Which I tried once, and I agree on that with you, @Annb . Besides, I liked the supermarket version better than my own.
Would she be willing to share her recipe?Mrs mitten does make a hummus here which is ridiculously easy for how nice she gets it
What ingredients does the supermarket one have in it? I tend not to trust ready made anything - there's pretty well always something I can't tolerate in whatever it is. It would certainly be no faff though. I don't think our 2 supermarkets stock it anyway.
I looked it up anyway and it's not as bad as I feared.I'm not sure I want to know what's in it...

I love hummus and eat it a lot. My tub says 6.1 grams per 100.
I tried making it once, very yuck, so I stuck to the bought version, which is rather expensive.
So if I can make a tasty one myself I'd be very interested!
Actually doesn't look all that bad, as long as you only have a small amount.I looked it up anyway and it's not as bad as I feared.

Grating cheese without nibbling is not a thing, itchy teeth or not. Who does that?my itchy teeth struck again while grating cheese - some cheese got nibbled while waiting for veggies to cook.
Hopefully it's just you, which is bad enough!Dreadfully afraid I've poisoned all our guests but hubby and son are fine and one neighbour is out mending his fence so he's obviously OK. It's the older ladies I'm worried about.
Pretty sure the swimming is not only invigorating but just getting out and doing it will be great for your mental health. I never learned to swim unfortunately, but I'm sure it is great exercise. Tom used to insist on having cold baths but it just caused too much pain in my legs, even way back when, and I backed out, so even if I could swim, I wouldn't be doing it outdoors, especially in this weather.Grating cheese without nibbling is not a thing, itchy teeth or not. Who does that?

Last day of shawarma, this time fried with a small onion and served on a LC wrap with a smear of tomato puree, with the leftovers of yesterdays salad and extra endive.
I also went for another swim, third day in a row, this time on my own.
I have a feeling it really does work wonders for my mental wellbeing, I've felt so much better than last week! Can be coincidence still, but it's a pretty strong motivator to keep going.

Might try that myself tomorrow.I just used up the last of the low carb "pasta". As a pasta à la cheese and frankfurters, it was just slightly below acceptable. I think I'll risk some starch-resistant macaroni next time. Cooked, cooled, refrigerated, reheated, and covered with cheese sauce it should hopefully be fairly acceptable, glucosally speaking. I'll try it when I apply my next CGM.
Where did that year go? Will be thinking of you on Wednesday during your scan and wishing you safe travels there and back.Spent today packing and eating up food likely to go off in the fridge as we’re off to London tomorrow for my annual scan Wednesday. I’ve just been checking restaurants near our hotel for likely candidates to eat at. There are loads, including Lebanese and other Middle Eastern places all of which serve baba ganoush which I love. The chat on here has set my tastebuds tingling. I feel a baba ganoush crawl coming on!
