Yesterday
B: none
L: lemon chicken (diced chicken breast in lemon juice, mayo and black pepper) with a salad of olives, sweet pointy pepper and beef tomato
D: 2 bratwurst, cauli cheese and courgette

Today
B: bacon, egg and potato hash with onion and cheese
L: none
S: chocologic
D: Chicken breast baked with pepperoni and cheddar with sugarsnaps and green beans, berries n cream to follow if nec.

Me too. Have been baking for a charity events tomorrow so have been tasting things I haven't eaten for months. Not looking forward to tomorrow morning!

Yesterday was a low, low carb day (trying to rise from the ashes of having a celebratory take out Pizza the night before).

Brunch: Scrambled Egg, Bacon, and a tomato.

Dinner: Gluten Free Sausage, Bacon, Mushroom with melted Mexican cheese.
LCHF is surprising me this time around. I can't eat my normal sized portions anymore. Did 2 sausages, 3 bacon, and 2 mushroom. Couldn't eat half of it... hubby was pleased, he's a bacon fiend and got to eat my leftovers.

I've never had "breakfast foods" twice in one day. That won't happen often. Today I plan on having stewed rhubarb with cream for breakfast, and salmon and veggies for dinner.

B: Avocado, blueberry and soya milk smoothie.
L: Lamb and veggies roast dinner, no potatoes, gravy or mint sauce though.
D: Sardine & cheese salad.

LCHF for a week now. I have now stopped dreaming of eating bread. ;) I really feel that this approach is sustainable for me, since I don't generally feel hungry between meals and look for junk food snacks.

Considering adding 5/2 IF to the mix.

B: bacon, egg and a slice of fried bread. Regretted the bread all day. Made me feel v meh though bg was fine.
L: not needed
S: lc cashew fudge fat bomb - delish
D: lc moussaka. Wanted another fat bomb, but too full. :shifty:

Posting early since I am fasting (IF) from after breakfast for 24 hours to check the affect on my FBG levels.

B: Scrambled eggs & smoked salmon.
L: Coffee with cream & 0.5L of water.
D: Nothing.

Of course I will be drinking water throughout the day.

After missing lunch I am surprised my stomach is not grumbling at all.

B: Nothing, trying to fast
L: held out until 3pm, had half Lidl high protein roll, a small Josephs low carb Pita, with cold beef, a boiled egg and a stick of cheese. Carb cravings...............pinched 5 shortbread biscuits from the office next door.
Tea: Intense carb cravings on drive home from work.........stopped at Greggs and had a jam doughnut and fresh cream apple turnover..................BG up to 11.5, thought it would go higher (my peak is usually 3 hours later, due to gastroparesis)
Late dinner (9.30), chicken kiev with bacon, cheese, box of McCain microchips.............BG starting to climb again.

Bad day, but when that happens, my BG doesn't go as high as it used to.

managed my first 36 hour fast over the weekend....................second half of it, fairly steady between 4.5 and 5.5.

I've been a bit up and down lately, but have some home "a1cnow" Hba1c tests, which continue to show me at about 6.2 (44), so fairly happy.

Yesterday:

B: 3 egg cheese and onion omelette. A few strawberries with greek full fat yoghurt.
L: Nothing
D: Lamb balti with toms & onions - found a good low carb sauce. No rice.

B: bacon, egg, beans, tea
L: 2 fat bombs
D: chicken thighs with carrot, green beans, baby corn and broccoli in a dash of reggae reggae with cream cheese

Today

B: cheese and bell pepper omelette.
Rest of day fasting except coffee with cream, diet coke and water

Yesterday:
B: 2 fat bombs (almond butter fudge)
L: ditto
D: slow cooker kleftiko (no potatoes) and cauli cheese. Actually it was enough cauli cheese to feed the 5,000 - on account of it needing finishing up. I may be cauli cheesed out for a while.

Totay:
B: 2 fat bombs (almond butter fudge)
L: ditto
S: crispy bacon strips
D: more kleftiko (there is a lot of it left) with stir fried red pepper and sugarsnaps in garlic cream cheese.

Edited to add: ended up having one of these too.

I'm intrigued by your LC cashew fudge fat bombs, Brunneria. Do you have a recipe please?

Yesterday's was:
B: gluten-free muesli and cream
L: salmon, tomatoes, cucumber; half a banana
D: duck breast baked with nectarines and glazed with stewed damsons, runner beans, 3 new potatoes

Yesterday it was;

B: Fried Egg & Bacon with a Tomato and lots of Tea.
L: Handful of Nuts
S: Mojito & Pork Scratchings
D: Bolognese with Shredded Cabbage and a load of other Veggies.
2 squares Tesco 85%

Shared a Bottle of Red Liquid.

Made some of @ewelina Peanut Butter Cookies, but substituted Coconut Flour for Soya Flour 1:1 which was a rookie error. Still tasty however, even if a little stodgy.

Yesterday's was rather fab and resulted in some excellent BS results.

Breakfast: Pret a Manger egg, salmon and spinach pot, washed down with a flat white.

Lunch: forgot my packed lunch, but ate 20 almonds.

Dinner: out with friends at a Thai restaurant. Deep-fried squid to start, prawn red curry (no rice) with greens stir-fried with ginger and garlic, two glasses of white wine.
