What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Breakfast - crustless quiche

Lunch - weekly treat day (day off packed lunch); Nando's half plain chicken, mixed leaf salad, coleslaw

Dinner - bolognese with courgetti and grated cheese

Peanuts in stock @ 9.00am

Hour in the Gym
L: Leftover green salad and boiled egg, followed by ALL the peanuts.
D: Fish Pie celeriac topping and cabbage

Feeling full right now, but sure I will snack again before bed

Well bed on 6.8 and got up to a 9 but thanks to @Chook and @Ultramum - I didn't know night sweats were an indication of higher FBG. It dropped a lot quicker today though.
B. Back to my goto breakfast 2 scrambled eggs and 2 rashers crispy bacon and a couple of chestnut mushrooms.
L. A couple of walnuts
D. Couple of tablespoons of mince and gravy (was going to be DD burgers but Hubby cooked both packs as mince). Another vegetable fest ..... brussel sprouts, asperagus, mini cauliflower, dessert spoon of peas and a couple of slices of carrot.
I am in need of a sugar free jelly too.

I've been to Oz a few times (hubby's entire family are there) and I've never heard of them before. Obvious question - what do they taste like?
They have a milderer flavour than the bigger prawns have, cheaper as well.

They do not taste like chook chicken either.

Brunch: Chipolatas, bacon, eggs, grilled tomato, mushrooms

Dinner: Mr C is cooking - at the moment the plan (which could change) is:
Starter: Prawns and scallops fried in butter flavouried with chilli and garlic on a green salad
Main: A bowl of hot mussels cooked in white wine, shallot and... a touch of chilli

It would have been a big bowl of mussels except I just found out from google that mussels have 7g of carbs per 100g!!

I have had 1 fried egg ,1 slice bacon,2 bratwurst sausage, eaten at 10 am brunch. Porky bolognese for evening meal a Tom Kerridges recipe with spiralized courgette never seen yellow ones before hubby got them from local fruit shop yesterday. K

Really??? I would never have thought mussels were high.

Pepperoni omelette with mushrooms @ 3.30 (don't ask!)
Couple of coffees with cream
Crustless quiche with half an avocado
Gammon with creamed leeks, mange tout and cabbage

Okay...I've got to ask - what on earth were you doing eating pepperoni omelette with mushrooms at 3.30am????

"Pre-breakfast" (attempt to stop morning rise) - half an avocado

Breakfast - 2 boiled eggs

Snack (serious munchies this morning) - 20g piece of cheese

Lunch - roast lamb, sprouts, broccoli, with meat juices for gravy

Dinner - cold lamb, 6 baby plum tomatoes, half an avocado with a drizzle of olive oil

Woke up feeling hot and BG was already on the rise so decided to have breakfast to try to stop it in its tracks ...

otherwise known as ...

You have to get up pretty early in the morning to defeat my liver!

Now exhausted from the early start and all the rugby!

Wish I'd got up and made an omelette. Both grandsons stayed last night and No 2 woke me at 3.12am , 4.09am, 5.15 am.........outcome me shattered and FBG 9.8 - it dropped quickly though. Hubby says he won't get to stay again until he is 21! No 1 is great and never a problem.

Still battling morning highs
B. 2 scrambled eggs and that's it. Was going swimming with No 1
L. Seriously hungry after swimming and before shopping so had lettuce, 2 Vittoria tomatoes and prawns with Marie rose sauce.
D. Kept it simple - 1 slice thin roast beef, thin slice roast pork with stuffing, small bit chicken breast, lettuce , 2 Vittoria tomatoes, red Leicester mini and Cornish cove mini, 2 walnuts, boiled egg and Helmanns.
Water and lots of it.
@Ultramum - did the 3am omelette stop the rise?

Breakfast: Unsmoked mackerel fillets fried in butter, coffee with cream

Lunch: Not sure yet - possibly lettuce wraps with houmous

Dinner: Roast lamb, Brussels sprouts, roast parsnips, cauliflower carrots
