Cheese omelette with mushrooms

Stuffed mushrooms (garlic and cream cheese topped with cheddar)

5 Lidl meatballs, leeks in cream and cabbage followed by 4 strawberries with cream (ended up 1.7 up after 2 hrs so strawberries obviously a bit too much at the moment as I have had all the other foods and not gone up by more than 0.4)

Just noticed I forgot to put yesterday's in. Discovered yesterday that stress does indeed have a very adverse effect on BG. Was sitting comfortably in mid 6's but issues with No 1 at school sent me shooting up to 8.3 and took nearly all day to come back down.
B. Usual 2 scrambled eggs and 2 rashers crispy bacon with 2 button mushrooms.
L. Nothing
D. A Diet Doctor burger without the creamy sauce but added a Portobello mushroom as a half 'bun' with lettuce , tomato, grated cheese, 2 walnuts and Helmanns. Had a sugar free jelly too to cheer myself up although a large Bailey's might have been better.
No idea about today except I had an omelette for a change this morning.

Frustrating day which involved going a bit off piste.

Pre-breakfast liver "block" - half a small avocado. Failed miserably - up from 6.6 to 7.9 pre breakfast.

Breakfast - 2 boiled eggs

For some reason starving mid-morning and succumbed to experimenting with an Atkins bar that has been sat in my desk for ages. Didn't spike me too much - up to 8 (from 7.1 post breakfast), but kept me high longer than usual, so all remaining bars have been dispensed with.

Lunch - cold lamb with salad. Only up 0.1 mmols after 2 hours, but still 8.1!

Back down to a normal 5.7 before a dinner of 2 sausages (3 carbs the pair), 2 rashers of bacon and 2 poached eggs. Washed down with 2 teaspoons of double cream.

Back to normal eating tomorrow, me thinks.

First time in this thread. Here we go:

B: Banana (5.5 mmol/l)
L: 2 boiled eggs, spinach leaves, chicken breast (4.8)
Snack: Large apple (5.1)
D: 1 slice low carb bread, 2 rasher of bacon, 2 scrambled eggs (4.8).

Hopefully the bread doesn't ruin a solid day.

Breakfast cheese tomatoes and mushroom omelette cup tea BG 6.4

Lunch out salmon and veg 2 coffees

Evening Meal. Fishpie left overs from yesterday cup tea 6.3

Supper. 2 strawberries 1 Tbsp. double cream 2 tbsp full fat yogurt Cup coffee not yet taken until 10 pm

B: 1 egg and 2 sausages
L: naked burger in pub. With salad and a few v disappointing chips
D: dietdoctor veg and chicken in mustard gratin :wacky:

I'm getting too used to eating too regularly. Haven't felt hungry for days.

OK I have had a really bad day with BG levels. So far I haven't been under 7.1 today. True, I have another cold which is contributing but even so.
B. Omelette for a change with bits of bacon, mushroom , tomato and mozzarella cheese.
L. Nothing
D. Couple of leftover lamb chops from the rack. M&S have introduced skinny chicken burgers with garlic and herbs. Very low carb - had 1 burger with the lamb. Tablespoon of cauliflower mash and 1/2 avocado - weird mix. Chicken burger is very garlicky. Tasty but it needs something.

Wednesday - FBG 6.3

Breakfast: 2 boiled eggs and Lidl roll soldiers - (extra big breakfast today as I've got my annual diabetes review and I don't want there to even be the slightest possibility of going low while I'm there)

Lunch: Half an avocado

Dinner: Bacon, eggs, high meat chipolata sausages, grilled tomato and mushrooms fried in butter

Poor Mr. G has got either a bit of a tummy bug or a chill, result a sore, gurgling tummy and too many loo visits so he's cutting back the veg a bit :(
(could some of it maybe be the blood pressure medication dosage now he's lost some weight I wonder?)

Sunday
brunch - porridge
dinner - roast pork, a spoonful of root veg mash for me and cabbage braised with bacon, garlic, red peppers and leeks, (finished with a little knob of butter) on the side. Pud was Alpro yoghurt and a few berries.

Monday
breakfast - porridge
lunch - homemade soup (smaller portion for Mr. G. with a bit of root veg mash added so more starch and less fibre for him).
dinner - chicken stir fry with mushrooms (more mushrooms and less veg for Mr. G.)

Mr. G. was feeling a bit better yesterday but then worse later in the day.

Tuesday
breakfast - porridge (usual, made with water and finished with almond milk and ground flax seed)
lunch - out, so had a very nice ham salad with some lovely coleslaw, feta cheese and a boiled egg added. (resisted the fruity couscous and the pesto pasta spirals with pine nuts - Mr G said they were both very tasty)
dinner - gammon steak with a mushroom omelette (4/5th for Mr. G and 1/5th for me - I had a good lunch), a homemade tattie scone and a couple of tiny toms fried for Mr. G. and some salad for me.

Mr. G's appetite seems to be ok but I'm trying to keep his veggies down a bit, good job he's seeing the doc. on Thursday anyway.

Poached egg 1 slice Ham and fresh sliced tomato.

Plan is:
Cheese omelette and mushrooms (my go to breakfast!)
Crustless quiche slice
Smoked Haddock with roasted veg
1/2 Lidl roll with butter, avocado and smoked salmon

These new M&S skinny chicken burgers with garlic and herbs. 1 per portion - and you only need 1 as they are quite filling. 111 calories, 2.4g carbs but 2.8g fibre. Fat 2.3g protein 18.8g.

Woo HOOOO - just got back from annual diabetes checkup and my HbA1C is 29 - which is 4.9 - sadly my cholesterol wasn't as good but I refused statins.
