What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Today has been even weirder. Bed on 6 FBG 6.4 and wait for it pre breakfast was 6.7?? I'm saying nothing. Don't want to jinx what is going on.
B. In a rush (which makes the figures all the more strange) so 1 Slice Tesco high protein bread toasted with thin sliced ham. Tassimo morning coffee with cream about 2 hrs later.
L. 1/2 avocado, 8 king prawns , lettuce and I mixed up more spicy Marie Rose.
D. Been pondering but have ribs spicing now. Will have salad with it. M&S do a chipotle paste which I use in the sauce.

I think a prosecco may be required.

Hi all

Breakfast - none

Lunch - breaking my 24 hour fast from lunch time yesterday. Roast beef (got some lovely Duchy organic slices on offer in Waitrose), salad (baby leaf spinach, rocket, baby plum tomatoes), mayo

Dinner - bolognese with courgetti and plenty of grated cheese; 2 squares of 90% with 2 spoons of cream

I said this was a weird day. I did have that prosecco (hubby watching France v England) but pre dinner I was 5.9. Since dinner I've been in a steady fall (Currently 5). How can dinner reduce your BG?

Hello
B. Strawberries and yoghurt

L. Camambert and walnuts

1 hours swimming

D. Roast pork, carrots, onion, cauliflower cheese and gravy. Strawberries and Oppo icecream.

For breakfast, I had two small bananas, two apricots and a sugarless black coffee.

I used to LOVE bananas - in fact I loved all fruit - but it sends my BG sky high so I really envy you being able to tolerate them.

(Yesterday's tapas feast was gorgeous - absolutely no leftovers - it was something to do with the Spanish spice mix that Mr C put together and used on both the chicken and the lamb.)

Today:

Breakfast: The usual - two boiled eggs and buttered Lidl protein roll soldiers

Lunch: Possibly a few nuts - maybe just a coffee with cream

Dinner: BBQ - Starters of the rest of those huge Lidl prawns (only 3 each), then chicken skewers (flavoured ones we got from the butcher - two different flavours) then belly of pork in an M&S dry rub - a red and yellow pepper and cherry tomatoes skewer and some lettuce, salad onions and radishes out of the garden.

Some red wine

A Montezuma truffle which I will eat soon after dinner as I've found if I eat them on their own they make me feel hungry (strange!)

um (trying to remember)

B: none except a coffeesubstitute and cream
L: DD goatscheese bunless burger with tomato mayo, caramelised onions and salad
D: DD chinese meatballs with lovely radish salad and white cabbage. Lush. And stuffed to the gills.

Then I had about 5 Lidl's 'petite boule' dark choc truffles during the evening. Odd things. Very little bg impact, but very little enjoyment, either. Won't buy again.

Breakfast - none

Lunch - 2 fried eggs, 2 rashers bacon, salad

Dinner - was supposed to be out for a coffee/drink and was planning on skipping dinner. Drink was cancelled and I was hungry after all so went with what was in the fridge: salami and cheese; 2 squares 90%. Topped off with an hour's walk in the evening sunshine. 21,900 steps so far today.

B: none
L: Dietdoc pork meatball with white cabbage and radish salad
D: 8oz steak with mushroom, tomato, onion and half a chip portion.

Wasn't intending to eat out, but we got delayed, and both thought it better to eat a good meal out rather than come home hungry and then take the easy carby option.

Fancy something green now though, so may have some seaweed thins. Funny how I have started needing a fair chunk of greenery every day.

B: 2 large bulletproof coffees with extra heavy cream
L: some sliced ham
D: ostrich (trying to get rid of frozen stuff before setting off on hols) with a Diane sauce- ostrich was absolutely awful, just like old boots. I just had some pepperami instead.
Ketones in abundance though and fbs are about 4.8 so I'm happy :)

Well off to bed last night on 5.2 FBG was 5.5 and amazingly pre breakfast was 6.7. Wow.
B. 1 Slice Tesco high protein bread with Lurpack and a scrambled egg. Tassimo morning coffee with cream.
L. Nothing
D. Stir fry of chicken, cauliflower rice, beansprouts, mushrooms, red onion and Thai red curry.
Alpro coconut ice cream and 3 strawberries.

Sounds a lot like venison - either cook lightly and eat fairly rare or cook it long and slow until it just starts falling apart. It is really awful cooked 'medium'.

Today.....

Breakfast: Two boiled eggs and buttered Lidl protein roll soldiers
Lunch: Either nothing or a huge Costa coffee with two jugs of cream (in Costa)
Dinner: Fathead pizza and home made coleslaw (with Hellmans)

One Montezuma truffle (I have surprised myself and Mr C by keeping to my resolution to only having one choc a day - I have never been strict with myself around chocolates before)

Hello
B. Raspberries and yoghurt

L. Camambert and walnuts

1 hours swimming

D. Crust less quiche and salad. Strawberries and Oppo salted caramel icecream.
Pomegranate pot. :)

Bit of a change in routine today. Had an all day meeting away from the office so wasn't going to get in my usual long walks to and from the station on my way in. Went for a 45 minute walk first thing - about half of it along the Thames. Tide was low so got the sound of waves - so relaxing.

Also experimented with cream in tea - don't drink coffee and have never fancied cream in tea, but was feeling distinctly peckish after my walk, so gave it a go. Surprisingly good and kept me going right up until lunch.

Breakfast - none (unless you count the tea with cream)

Lunch - cobbled together in M&S. Santini tomato salad with added corned beef and cheese

Dinner - about to go in the oven. Chicken leg with garlic butter and either broccoli or cauliflower. May also be tempted by Lindt 90%
