What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Home made fish cake n salad with strawberry eton mess!! Less meingue but helpings galore of strawberrys n whisked double cream!!!
 
Brunch: 2 egg omelette folded with smoked salmon, cream cheese & asparagus, coffee & cream;
Snack: Pork scratchings, coffee & cream;
Dinner: Grilled lamb noisette, panfried asparagus & baby courgette, creamed swede with carrot, buttered cabbage and celeriac dauphinoise followed by strawberries & cream;
Coffee & cream later
 
B: Pancakes with coconut Alpro yoghurt and flax
L: Oopsie bread with pate. Had also topped an oopsie with dark choc chips and cinnamon so ate with a few blueberries - yum!
D: Baked trout with sauce/pesto type thing made from blitzing watercress (it was on the turn!), toasted pine nuts, coconut oil and lime (tasty :hungry:), rocket, avocado and tomato salad.
 
B: cup of beef broth at 11 am, I didn't feel like eating earlier

L: prawn & avocado salad, 2 peanut butter biscuits

D: BBQ (chicken thigh, burger patty, 2 small meat-only sausages), salad (toms, cuke, pepper, mozzarella), hummus, chunk of cheese; dessert - mixed crushed PB biscuit, frozen blueberries and cream
 
Thought I would share what I ate on Friday:

B: 2 boiled eggs and slice of Lidl HP roll, toasted
L: NIbbly things - olives, feta, ham etc
D: Meal at an Indian restaurant: A few pieces of poppadom with a bit of (very red) onion relish and some of the rather questionable bright green "raita". Tandoori mixed grill, with salad. Two side dishes of mushroom bhaji and spinach bhaji. Had with a rose spritzer and complimentary brandy, followed by an evening stroll around the town. I was intrigued by the small free "mango" chocolate, so I ate it, but I swear it was the usual mint! I love going out for an indian meal but have to admit, I am always left wondering just what is in the food exactly, so I tread carefully, but all in all, it was a successful and enjoyable experience :)
 
Yesterday it was:
B;Fried Egg, 2 Bacon, 2 Sausages, Tomato & Mushroom
L: Smoked Mackeral with Salad and Coleslaw
D: Sirloin Steak with Roasted Vegetables and Spinach, and Strawberrys/Blueberries with Greek Yoghurt

Oh, and a cheeky bag of Fridge Raider things that are disgusting but only 2.9 Carb

BG this morning 6.7 .......................... no idea why, other than the horrible fake chicken things I have eaten the same meals often with no issue.
 
B: Full fat Greek yoghurt with chopped mixed nuts, a slice of melon and a few cherries.
L: More melanzane alla parmigiana, few slices of Bavarian smoked ham.
S: Sainsbury's 20g 85% chocolate bar.
D: will be tuna and cannellini bean salad with celery, cu, red onion, peppers, avocado and a big glug of extra virgin olive oil.
 
B: skipped as not hungry - mug of black coffee
S: Heaped teaspoon cream cheese
L: Whole avocado mayonnaise, courgette bread with almond butter
D: Will be smoked sausage, baked parmesan courgette, broccoli & asparagus. Strawberries & cream.

Any chance of your courgette bread recipe? Courgettes just starting to grow in the garden and will need resourceful ways of using them up!
 
B: scrambled egg and bacon
L: chicken breast with mixed roast veg
S: cashew nuts
D: baked salmon, sweet potato chips, kale, lime mayo; strawberries and cream
 
B: back on the Chia seeds et al
L: standard, celery, olives, garlic, avocado, SK, loads of olive oil and an added milano salami
D: gammon in cream sauce, broccoli, SK, avocado and toms with garlic, one choc.
Coffee at 11, tea at 06:30 and 17:00, water through out the day.
actually a bit peckish tonight.... but it can wait till the morning.
 
Breks : 2 Fried Eggs and 3 Rashers of Bacon
Lunch: Roast Turkey breast slices and salad
Dinner: Chicken, Bacon and Avocado Salad with Vinagrette dressing, plus some Lidl Greek Yoghurt with a couple of blueberies.

BG was 5.8 at bedtime and much better than the 6's I'd had all day.
 
B: 2 egg courgette frittata made with a heaped teaspoon of harrissa, 2 rashers bacon, buttered mushrooms, grilled tomato, half a grapefruit.
S: 20g bar Sainsbury's 85% chocolate.
L: Roasted red pepper hummus with crudité (cauliflower, mange tout, pepper, cu, carrot, radish, spring onions).
D: Last of the melanzane alla parmigiana followed by Greek yoghurt with chopped mixed nuts, a slice of melon and a few raspberries.
 
B: Almond cheese scone with ardennes pate, strawberries & cream
L: Spinach and tomato baked with an egg on top, chunk of cheddar
D: Power cut for 3 hours so it was salad with cold ham and brie, jelly & cream

went and bought another couple of aubergines....and there's only one thing they are going to do....
 
B: back on the Chia seeds et al
L: standard, celery, olives, garlic, avocado, SK, loads of olive oil and an added milano salami and a small amount of leftover aubergines, hard to believe such a thing exists.
D: Haddock covered in ground almonds, fried in butter, salad and sauerkraut, rasps and crème fraîche. Both MirsJ and I stopped off and bought double rations of rasps.... heaven in a bowl.
Extra bending exercises tonight.

I tend to shallow fry fairly thick slices quite slowly in a lot of olive oil. Garlic barely gets cooked as I find it burns easily and becomes bitter.... over all.... heavenly... who needs meat?:D

Yes, shallow frying in oil is the proper way to make it!

B: Whole Earth crunchy peanut butter on one slice of Hovis wholemeal seed sensation bread toasted, half a red grapefruit.
L: Big green salad with smoked mackerel fillet and a big glug of Ligurian extra virgin olive oil.
S: 20g ASDA extra special 85% chocolate.
D: Will be Italian sausage and lentil casserole with a side of kale.
