Barbeque sauce/ pulled pork sauceVersion 1
1/2 cup reduced-sugar ketchup or natural ketchup without added sugar Tesco seems to be cheapest and lowest carb
2 T tomato paste
4 T Stevia-in-the-Raw Granulated Sweetener (use the sweetener of choice )
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
1/4 cup mustard (American yellow mustard; We use French’s classic)
2 tsp. Green Tabasco Sauce (or 1 tsp. red Tabasco)
1 1/2 T Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp. Liquid Smoke (or more, optional but recommended) we use more!
Basically tweak to taste; we make a batch and keep in fridge during summer. Version 1 is our goto.
Version 2
1/4 cup vinegar
1 1/2 cup tomato sauce. (1 15 oz can)
3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 tablespoon yellow hot dog mustard
3/4 tablespoon Franks Hot Sauce (the chicken wing sauce)
1 dash cayenne pepper. Go easy!!!!
3 teaspoons lemon juice
1 1/2 teaspoon liquid smoke flavoring
6 teaspoons Splenda or 18 drops of Liquid Splenda
Add vinegar and all other ingredients except mustard to a sauce pan and slowly heat. Put mustard in a cup and slowly stir in a couple tablespoons of sauce until well blended. Then add mustard mixture back to sauce in pan.
Bring to a boil, and lower heat. Let simmer for a few minutes. Let cool, then refrigerate.
I'll give version 2 if you want but we now use this one
You are very welcome, just hope you are not disappointed. I do think you need the liquid smoke though!Thank you, much appreciated.

Hi all
@Goonergal will be tomorrow or Friday before hear- it was the blood draw today. Hoping they won’t call me back as my vein collapsed while she was taking it and she was a bit dubious about if there would be enough blood! Big bruise across whole of arm!.
Ours came from Amazon. It is better once left in the fridge and obviously taste as you go but the just made taste is more fiery than the left to settle and melded with meat taste.Liquid Smoke, sure I've seen this somewhere and will be sure to get some.

How many Lidl rolls do you still have? I am overcome with jealousyEvening all. Don’t even want to admit what I’ve eaten today. Seem to be oscillating between fasting and over consumption. Will be plotting a middle course over the next few days. Here goes:
Breakfast - ate my packed lunch of a Lidl protein roll with cold lamb from the other night.
Mid-morning snack - bag of pork crunch. That’s where it all started to go downhill. Over the course of the rest of the working day consumed 90g of Godiva 72% chocolate - way too sweet - and about 70g Montezuma’s Absolute Black with orange and cocoa nibs AND 50g mixed nuts.
Dinner - brined chicken leg with small portion of cauliflower cheese so at least something sensible to finish.
Off to Pilates shortly.
@shelley262 how did you get on with your HbA1c?
Was just about to ask for the recipe as we are big fans of ribs. Both version now heading to 'Copy me That'.For you Guzzler - can't remember the website so can't give the link:

I've seen it in Tesco and I'm sure I've spotted it in M&S with their American stuff.Ah yes! I had searched for Old Bay seasoning and Liquid Smoke later came up in my 'recommended for you' section. Thanks again.

Evening everyone.
I’ve had a very busy day sorting, clearing and cleaning. Don’t know how we’ve managed to accumulate so much stuff. Good news is that the activity has kept bg fairly low.
B: scrambled eggs with cream. Smoked salmon.
L: 1/4 avocado, prawns and a massive dollop of homemade mayo. Orange chia pud with 5 raspberries.
D: bacon chop, Cumberland sausage (95%) asparagus, portobello mushroom filled with spinach and goats cheese. More mayo.
I’m thinking a modicum of cheese and a glass of red would go down nicely now.
@shelley262 I hate it when that happens. Hope it will be sufficient, they don’t need very much blood.
@Goonergal, hope the chocolate didn’t play too much havoc with your bg. I’m sure you’ll be back in control tomorrow, and sometimes it does the heart good to have a splurge.
A good clear out is very therapeutic.
Somewhat amazingly I’ve had my two lowest readings of the day post-dinner/pre-Pilates and post-Pilates. Suspect it will be a different story in the morning.

Worry about tomorrow in the morning. Maybe the pilates helped - did you find a beginner’s class? And are you still wobbling? I am.
