They looked amazing @jayney27. In my experimental/research phase breakfast is definitely part of the plan and those are now very much on the agenda. Maybe we can try these out at Sunday's barbeque first. Thanks for the idea@ianpspurs the bacon halloumi is cooked and is looking very tasty, can’t wait for it to be breakfast time
Brilliant idea for a BBQ I will report in the morning as to how they taste. They looked amazing @jayney27. In my experimental/research phase breakfast is definitely part of the plan and those are now very much on the agenda. Maybe we can try these out at Sunday's barbeque first. Thanks for the idea
Now they look goodJust changed my mind about breakfast tomorrow, popped some halloumi wrapped in bacon in the oven, should be a nice tasty change.
Glad you had a lovely time and that you were able to stay on track food wise, that always helps doesn’t it?@DJC3 I’m so so sorry to her about your Tilly, nothing I can say will make you feel better, only time can do that, just sending a huge (((hug))) xx
@jayney, the wedding yesterday was lovely thank you, got home an hour or so ago.
Food today:
Breakfast at Airbnb: sausage, bacon, eggs and mushrooms with black coffee.
Mid morning: white coffee, just a dash of milk.
Lunch at Eden Spice Café at the Eden Project: slow cooked garam masala (ditched the naan bread!) followed by a PhD bar.
Dinner at motorway services on the way home: one piece of kfc (from my daughter’s kfc meal), pork scratchings and a phd bar.
Hi, welcome to the thread, I think @Goonergal summed up pretty well, as she mentions we are all different and type 2 people on this thread are a mixture of diet controlled only or diet and meds. I average 30-40g per day, sometimes I am lower very rarely higher.what do we class as low carb? I eat about 30 carbs per meal and maybe 40/50 for dinner, is that low? My sugars seem quite stable with it but im trying to lose weight so wouldnt mind dropping more but not sure what is a safe level

Here’s Diet Dr’s definitions of different levels of low carb:what do we class as low carb? I eat about 30 carbs per meal and maybe 40/50 for dinner, is that low? My sugars seem quite stable with it but im trying to lose weight so wouldnt mind dropping more but not sure what is a safe level
Yes that makes sense, I’d rather try to avoid them as opposed to guess and be way off, as we now know plenty of things we can indulge in that are zero or minimal carbs if they are availableFunnily enough when I eat out rather than guesstimate carbs in food I end up avoiding them almost all together. I’m estimating that I ate between 25-35g during my three days away, at home when I know exactly what goes into my food I keep to 40-60g! My average blood sugar of all the readings over the three days was 5.2
