Good luck tomorrow I’m sure all will be fine xWill do. And good luck with the cholesterol test. I have my blood draw in the morning for my HbA1c and cholesterol. Very interested in the former, not so much in the latter.
Tests should be fine @Goonergal definitely Sutton Trust level. Will do. And good luck with the cholesterol test. I have my blood draw in the morning for my HbA1c and cholesterol. Very interested in the former, not so much in the latter.
Top lady for trying something new - what is the female equivalent of MAMILS?Evening all,
I’ve taken the plunge and signed up for yoga classes, I start first week of September, it’s simething I’ve wanted to try for a while and now feel might be the right time,
Good luck wow that hbaca1 came around quickly remember your last one really clearly. I think you’re right re the cholesterol think it’s because mine was so high at 13.8 that they panicked me talking about familial hyper cholesterol and heart attack risk but read so much since not worried in same way. I’ve also got to 63 without previously having FH that it’s unlikely! I’ve read some good Zoë Harcombe articles re benefits to older women of higher cholesterol too so will take it lightly I think. Well @Goonergal at least we are not getting a level results tomorrow and I’m not at work as a careers adviser which was my profession - they used to be very hectic long working days! Will do. And good luck with the cholesterol test. I have my blood draw in the morning for my HbA1c and cholesterol. Very interested in the former, not so much in the latter.

My hubby’s one! Middle Aged Man In Lycra!Perhaps we first need to understand what MAMILS is
Congratulations on getting the booklet done: I look forward to being inspired!Evening all I’m feeling relieved to get first draft of recipe booklet out there I have just spent four consecutive days and two whole evenings on it - on top of any spare hours squeezed in over last few weeks! So as you can imagine it’s a bit of a good feeling! I got up at stupid o clock today too for my cholesterol blood test draw. She quizzed me on arrival to check I’d drunk lots of water yesterday evening and first thing and said that she had to check as along with receptionist she was the only person in the building and so had to be certain before she took it ther was no risk of any patient fainting! What me - all that blood testing for bgs we do on a daily basis! She also said if she was in doubt she sent them away and rebooked them - what, I thought, after all that alcohol abstention and fasting for 14 hours - so felt kind of relieved when sh3 took it successfully! We now await results and possible gp phone call.
Breakfast later after appt one rasher of bacon and fried egg on one slice of lc toast
Lunch four seeded lc crispbreads with pate and cheese
Dinner bolognese served with 30g of bean pasta and large glass of red wine followed by one mini loaf clafoutis with yoghurt
Family all round for lunch tomorrow - youngest son on way to green man festival in wales and bringing puppy to us for board and lodgings until Monday should be fun.
I agree with @jayney27 , I don’t do fasting either, my liver is way too helpful and chucks out a load of sugar if there’s any hint of no food forthcoming! So here are my three meals from today:
Breakfast: my usual low carb coconut ‘porridge’ with strawberries and cream washed down with a black coffee.
Lunch: ham with cauliflower and broccoli salad followed by Greek yoghurt and blackberries.
Mid afternoon: lemon chia pudding with a black coffee.
Dinner: chicken supreme with mixed veg and carrot and swede mash followed by SF jelly, cream and LC chocolate granola.
I was about to post a new winge thread but @Rachox you might have answered my question. I’ve had only a few carbs in fish, cream and eggs today, my libre has shown by BS bumbling along at 9 since eggs and fish (my last food) at 3pm with no spike then. So .... like a good chap I run 3 miles at 7pm, follow up with a 10 minute walk, then up goes my BS. A blood test just now shows my BS at 9.7, one below the Libre figure but it still feels like punishment for not eating and running. Is it my liver being a pain? Maybe I’ll have late dinner.

No 2 - there is no 3!Bed 6.6 FBG 6.2 and DP got to the dizzying heights of 8.7. Sneezing now and my aching limbs are down to hours of carpet shampooing. Rug Doctor is good but boy it is heavy.
B. Tassimo Americano grande with a dash of cream.
L. Bit of lo dough quiche
D. Another bit of lo dough quiche with anchovies, mussels, prawns, mozzarella pearls and 1/2 avocado. Odd I know but couldn't face cooking.
School was a success today. Both boys love their new teachers. No 3 likes his so much he didn't want to leave.
