What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

That was my lovely nans favourite saying as she wasn’t tall, “All good things come in little packages” she used to say.
I dont know if your nan had Irish heritage like me! Have to say since I came here in 1983 after meeting my English husband I felt so welcome and though I missed my mum I wouldnt want to live anywhere else.

I was tempted by the flower moulds too, I am developing a bit of an Amazon habit I think though. Must stop.

I didn’t see those offers - probably just as well!
Do you buy from Amazon? I think Ive seen you mention Bulk Powders?
I’ll wait to see how I get on with the choc bars before buying industrial size portions I think.
I don't buy from Amazon. I walk dogs, cut lawns, saw, chop and stack logs then exercise. I bought Mrs P an ipad and we have a joint current account, Delivery drivers arrive with all sorts

You seem to be really getting into your IP. Excellent!

Yes it’s a bit like eBay, one search turns into a shopping spree lol

Since my niece moved in next door she gets her parcels delivered here too. Hers plus mine the Hermes guy is here so often he's thinking of renting a room!

I don't really care too much what gets bought as long as the numbers add up/stay in green on my spreeadsheet each month

Hi, no she was very much English however she married a “Murphy” so there is a little Irish connection. My nan from my dads side of the family was the daughter of an American and Navarro Indian, she was adopted and bought up in England. When I was a young girl I had very long dark straight hair and looked a bit like a little red indian, minus the feathers and moccasins

I was at a neighbours last night, we had a get together to say good bye to a neighbour who is moving, during the evening shopping was discussed, as I am one of only a few people where I live that works full time my neighbours often take in parcels for me, this was mentioned and one of them said, “ I see a delivery man approaching, my heart sinks and I think what has my wife bought now, then sigh with relief when they say the parcel is for Jayne, will you take it”

The good thing about amazon is they package everything so well it is impossible to hide the evidence

Bed 5.6 FBG 5.4. Got a rest this morning. Son was off so he walked the boys to school. Trouble is my body is so tuned to wake up time I woke at the normal time. Still, it was nice not to be heading out early. Got The whole day off tomorrow but plenty to do as both boys are staying on Friday.
B. Tassimo Americano grande with a dash of cream, slice of Tesco's high protein bread with lurpack and 2 scrambled eggs before heading out to Aqua fit and swimming.
L. Nothing
D. Oomi noodle carbonara. Chia Pudding and 6 raspberries.

That sounds like a perfect life

I often think they try to off load their packaging to us, I have often had something the size of a postage stamp in a box big enough for a pair of shoes, filled with those air filled pockets and brown paper!!!!

It’s just a family party but a few of us. Our autistic eldest struggles with anything too big and needs to know everyone well anD even then has issues. His uncle OHs brother and partner are coming and staying as is our youngest, plus partner and puppy. Should be fun.

I am! Everything so far has been fantastic. It’s perfect for my small kitchen. I still get a bit nervous and have to leave the room when its coming up to pressure though.

It sounds like you were (and look like) the very pretty Pocohontos (? Spelling) which is so special. I think the Murphy influence on your nan gave her lots of sayings I would recognise. Its lovely we are all so different.

Evening all

@ianpspurs and @shelley262 thanks for the advice re: high fibre bars. I’m going ahead without inulin but with flaxseed. Will report back.

@DJC3 and @jayney27 I know what you mean about shopping sprees. One trip to collect pre-ordered loaf mould = new padded jacket and new fleece from TK Maxx (had never been in until about a year ago, now I keep them in business).

Almost an OMAD day today, but failed (impromptu) attempt confirmed that it’s not a good strategy for me at the moment.

Started the day bright and early, crossed London, caught train to Hatfield, walked along the Alban Way to St Albans (about 6 miles), all by 10.15am!

Had intended to grab lunch at Nando’s but wasn’t particularly hungry so skipped it. On train home v peckish so ate 25g mixed nuts.

Dinner was beef short rib, but the almost 3 hour wait for it to be ready left me very hungry. Followed up with large portion of lazy dessert of extra thick double cream mixed with almond butter and Hotel Chocolat 100% buttons and then 65g salted almonds.

Sounds like its going to be a lovely day, and with all your homemade goodies I’m sure your husband will have a birthday to remember.

You need an IP

Have considered it, but I have a tiny, tiny kitchen and don’t think I’m creative/adventurous enough to make full use of it. Maybe when the small one comes to the UK, but I’d want to see one in a shop first to check out the size.
