What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Know what you mean. Came across an old pic of me at Eurodisney from many winters ago - sure the padded coat didn’t help, but look like a weeble!

Egged on by @shelley262 here is said photo. Headgear may be of interest to @ianpspurs

I agree but am now able to restrict myself to half of a PhD smart bar and just 2 squares of chocolate, long gone are the days when I would eat a full bar without a care in the world!

I need an envy button. Gone full circle!

Goonergal - Your transformation is absolutely absolutely astonishing! When I saw you, in the flesh, in Birmingham, I found it hard to believe you hadn't always been a nice trim person. You looked so well and comfy in your skin.

A massive well done again from me.

Oh, and for completeness, there were lots of trim figures on the day looking like they'd never been anything but trim.

Well done ladies, and of course @bulkbiker .

Interesting point, my biggest worry re passport photo is always change of hair colour and or style lol

Serious question Re transformations - have they caused anyone issues with passports since you definitely look totally different?

No! Was worried too and considered getting new one before summer trip. Was persuaded by young colleague that it was unnecessary as he has no issue without beard in his pic. The US let me in!

Yesterday - breakfast- slice of Livlife bread with butter, herb& garlic Boursin cream cheese, topped a couple of teaspoons of mixed seeds; coffee with almond milk and truvia.

Lunch pulled ham hock, and pea shoots, mint, diced spring onions, radishes & cucumber with Hellmanns mayonnaise, lemon juice and zest. Halo Top ice cream with chocolate mint chips. Mint tea.

Dinner - salmon baked with a pat of herb butter and some fresh dill, with stir fried asparagus with sour cream and dill. Slightly under-ripe flat peach microwaved to soften it up, with butter ,cinnamon and a bit of Sukrin Gold. Turmeric tea. Pre meal 6.8 post 7.0.

Cocoa and cream for supper.

Some chocolate was also involved a couple of times during the day..

Today - just plenty of water but nothing to eat till late 2.30-ish lunch of 2 small Geman Brunswick ham slices, small chunk of gouda, and a few Halkidiki olives, followed by a little fig with Greek yoghurt and a mug of coffee & cream - both with a little truvia. 2 pieces of Lindt 85% choccie a bit later.

Dinner, preceded by a small slurp of Polish kefir while cooking, was roast chicken thigh with lovely crspy skin courtesy of my little halogen oven, with stir fried broccoli and pine nuts with a dollop of pesto and a splash of lemon juice; a few frozen berries and cherries with sour cream; turmeric tea and another piece of chocolate to finish off. Pre meal 6.5, 2hrs post 6.8.

Thanks @maglil55 . We have tickets to see the warriors on Sunday. Can't wait.

My passport has expired so no problems here! I don’t feel like my face looks much different but my old next door neighbour who I hadn’t seen for a while recently nearly walk passed me so maybe it has?!
Breakfast: my usual low carb coconut ‘porridge’ with strawberries and cream washed down with a black coffee.
Lunch: fried halloumi chips with cauliflower and broccoli salad followed by Greek yoghurt and raspberries.
Mid afternoon: lemon chia pudding and a black coffee.
Dinner: cold roast chicken with cauliflower and broccoli salad, coleslaw andoirk scratchings followed by SF jelly, cream and LC granola.

@Goonergal I’m stunned! You looked so petite when I saw you in Birmingham. Just wow! @shelley 262 I wouldn’t say you resembled a pumpkin in your photo, you are definitely fab looking now though. Well done both.

@Brunneria I think they will forever be burglars on here now.
@jayney27 I’m glad you’re not comjng down with a horrible lurgey - lots of it about at the mo it seems.
@maglil55 I love drambuie, would be worried about trying it these days but omg! warm with Baileys? Heaven and a hangover in a glass!

Had a jolly nice day, today:
B: smoked salmon scrambled egg and avocado
L: Mushrooms stuffed with spinach, feta, walnuts and milled flaxseed. CCB afterwards
D: The best thing so far in the IP a joint called bacon collar - cheaper than a gammon joint, cooked for just 11mins/lb with a bayleaf and a couple of bits of veg, it was wonderful. Took it round to daughters for dinner and made cauli cheese and stir fried courgette and pepper with it. Grandaughters who had eaten earlier kept pinching bits off the plate I was carving onto - they loved it too. I’ve had to promise I’ll make it again for them. Had 2 glasses of red wine too.

Mr C and I are looking after both girls and dog this weekend while my daughter and her husband go to a wedding in Reading so I should go and try to get some sleep in anticipation...

I mentioned that last week. I thought it was just me who avoided photos or, as you rightly say, you hide behind something if you are forced into one. I've still got a bit to go but it was nice to know I do look different now.

You can't beat a good home made burglar! I'm tending to just throw things together at the moment as I don't have much planning time but I'll get back to my organised self again at some point. I was the same today - just decided to do the shop since it was chucking it down , had no plan but just bought a selection of ingredients - not too much idea what I'll do with them yet but they go together. At least it will be soup weather soon.
