What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

B - guacamole & a little chicken, one Dr Karg cracker
L - celery stick, hummus, yellow tomatoes, avocado, dried mixed herbs and then a wholemilk yogurt with goji berries & pistachios
S - kale crisps
D - homemade broccoli, kale & onion soup, piece of cheese

B. Raspberries and double cream

L. M&S chicken salad pot

D. Chicken leg with leeks, onion and courgette cooked with olive oil
 
Brunch: Grilled bacon, fried egg, mushrooms, grilled tomatoes, baked beans, X2 wheat free slices toast.
Dinner/tea at 5pm: Braised Steak in gravy, roast vegetables (Asparagus, shallots, yellow bell peppers, vine ripened tomatoes, butternut squash, garlic cloves) Small portion mashed potatoe with mashed cabbage, onion & cream mixed into it. Pudding was Almond crust rhubarb crumble with tablespoon of clotted cream.
A glass of Italian red & a bit of cheese with grapes for supper later
 
B: none
L: Lidl roll with pate and brie; LC chocolate cupcake - yes it did have icing too:hungry:
D: kale and chilli soup; salmon, broccoli, cauli rice, sautéed mushrooms with garlic
 
Was it fun? :) I looooove camping, and i have done so in the snow (once), but prefer a balmy June...
Oh yeah, great fun. In the woods, get a decent fire going, sit back in my shelter and watch the snow come down.

Yesterday I didn't eat anything like as much...

B - sausages
D - roast chicken leg & thigh
S - babybels, coffee with coconut oil & cream
 
Yesterday 17/01/16

B - Chicken strips with celery sticks.
L- Warmed Sauerkraut and pickled onions (Fermented vegetables in vinegar lower my blood sugar)
D - Roast turkey dinner, substituting potatoes with roast celeriac root.
S - VLA 500g.
S2 - One great big chocolate santa (100 g) didn't need insulin either as it was cold and B/S tends to drop in the cold.

Happy days. Blood sugar didn't exceed 5.5. mmol all day.

I need to add to yesterday a minute microwave muffin with spoonful of double cream :)

B. Raspberries with cream

L. Cold chicken leg - not much chicken as I didn't fancy it

D. Leek and Stilton soup with chia roll
 
This morning I has a proteins roll and a little marmelade

nothing for lunch

at 3.30 I had some sweet biscuits not what I should have had.

but tonight I had half a pear a small clematis two rings of pineapple and a quarter of a mango with a little cheese.

I have been asked by my doctor not to eat meat all day as I have to take a water sample to the lab as my kidneys are leaking protien.

L: could tell it was Monday, good selection on the school salad cart! Slice of thick proper ham, wedge of stilton, rocket salad, olives, peppers
D: chicken stir fry with cabbage, peppers, onions, cauli & broccoli cheese
S: was feeling hungry so have just had peanut butter 'fudge'
 
B: coffee n cream

L: creamy broccoli, cauliflour, chicken bake, coffee.n cream

D: pork belly, broccoli, cauliflour, cheese sauce, L&P sf

S: ham, cheese, LC toast with butter
 
B - McDonalds double sausage & egg mcmuffin without the muffin
L - Bacon and more sausage (poor choice in the canteen)
D - Mackerel & spinach bread
 
B: 3 egg Omelette with Mushroom, Tomato & Cheese
L: Greek Yoghurt with Blueberries & Flaxseed
D: Fish Curry (might have been Cod) with Cauliflower CousCous & Ricotta Cake
 
Well today I had to have a first thing in the morning water sample to go to path lab at hospital also been awake with pains on my left side of my tummy most of the night. so went to hospital at 5.30 to be told it is excess acid in stomach so had bacon egg hash brown and two cups of coffee.
chicken but for lunch no patties but a couple of wraps and nothing tonight still have pain but treating it with pain killers.

I had a good day until the carb cravings got me!

B. Raspberries with cream

L. Leek and Stilton soup with chia roll

D. Indian meal. A papadam with raita, mixed kebab, garlic chilli chicken with a quarter piece of naan.
They were enough to trigger the munchies!, 4 biscuits from the Border shortbread tin and miniature green and blacks milk chocolate bar.it served to remind me how quickly and easily the carb munchies can take over when there is a tiny diet deviation. :(

L: Wetherspoons brunch. Very nice, even the few chips i ate. But i think they had some kind of crunchy coating on them. Odd. And unnecessary.
D: LC moussaka :D:D:D

A full and sated day.
Will sleep well tonight.
