Members are using foods that are lower in carbs. They either use a recipe or, as in the case of toast, find a bread with a lower carb content. Some members do make their own bread.Excuse my ignorance but what is LC cheesecake and LC toast ??
B. 2 slices BURGEN buttered toast, with half sugar marmalade
L. Small bowl beef stew, half dumpling. 1inch cube cheddar
D. 2 scrambled eggs, with cream on 1 slice BURGEN toast, buttered.
Hi Margar
It's great that you can eat bread. I used to love Burgen but unfortunately it doesn't love me back.
Can I ask? If you were to measure/weigh your food, what would be a good average?
I use Myfitnesspal app to get a good balance.
Animal / fish protein in ounces per meal and day?
Average is somewhere around 150g to 180g per serving for main meal and about half that for second meal but it does vary. Sorry, I can't do ounces any more.
Cup or fraction of cups of veg?
Depends on how carby they are. I tend to only eat above ground veg and try to get a variety on my plate but on average the total would be 200g to 240g. If I have something like carrots I will just have a little taster and not a full serving - maybe 10g-15g.
Do you gob fat or just make sure you have some?
Not sure what you mean. I try for a balanced meal always with healthy fats such as the fat on meat, olive oil, coconut oil, butter or ghee. If the meal is naturally low in fat I will have a green side salad dressed with olive avocado or a nut oil.
Do you eat veggies at every meal?
Always with my main meal and sometimes with my other meal. I only have two meals each day.
Some of you seem to eat so little. I do use an appetizer plate to keep me in line as my eyes are always bigger than my stomach.
Quantity becomes less of an issue as you increase your fat intake. Fat is satiating.
Also does too much fat create hunger/cravings for you?
I don't know about other people but I find it's the complete opposite with sufficient fat suppressing hunger and cravings.
I have some fine tuning to do and want to see what others are doing.
Thanks a bunch
