What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Hello Everybody
L. Raspberries and cream

L. Weatherspoons mixed grill. I didn't realise it was served with chips. I had 2 chips, they were delicious! But I left the rest! Wow that took some doing. 4 onion rings - delicious but double the carbs of the mixed grill!!! Just as well I swam today

D. My first ever lidl roll. Probably with a little cheese.

B: Coffee with Cream
L: Water
D: Pork Fillet in a Red Wine Sauce with various green veg tossed in butter & garlic pepper

3x Water Biscuits with some Cheddar

L: vege and cheese bake, carrots, broccoli, satsuma (school dinner)
D: pork chop, green beans, cabbage, leeks and cauliflower mash (yum yum!!), Greek yoghurt with low carb 'maple syrup'!
S: low carb chocolate (got a bit of tummy ache now - poly-trots!!)
S: handful of almonds, pecans

I have trouble choking down my veg and my vegetable "repertoire" is pretty restricted. I'm constantly on the look out for the best ways to cook veg. Think that's half the battle - cooking them properly! Maybe we need a veg-dodgers' forum ;-)
I wouldn't say I'm a great lover of veg either but I have found ways of making some things very enjoyable. Firstly cauliflower has become my best friend and usual carb substitute. Try mashing with butter and mustard - just like potato. Roast it with some chilli flakes and finish with a squeeze of lime or grate it to make cauliflower rice and stir fry with any herbs and spices you like. Shred some cabbage and boil until cooked. Fry bacon, onion and garlic in butter then add the cabbage. Add some double cream :hungry: Make courgetti using a spiraliser and dry fry with salt and pepper. Once cooked add a knob of butter.

B: Skyr yoghurt with blueberries. Meant to sprinkle with flax seed but forgot
L: rocket, coleslaw, cold roast chicken, slice of brie
D: roast duck leg, cauli mash; breadless pudding

B - mashed avocado on half a Lidl roll.
L - A peperami and some fridge raiders
D - Brocolli and Stilton soup, plus some fried onions and spinach bread
S - Coffee & cream, babybel, coconut water.

Got to remember that there are 15g of carbs in an avocado, good fat notwithstanding.

What's poly-trots?

B: The full Greek (with blueberries, linseed mix, etc). Tea.
L: 6 king prawns, one slice smoked salmon, 1/3 tub 4-bean salad from Sainsbury's, with liberal helping of fresh lime juice and black pepper. Pear.
D: Mozzarella and tomatoes drizzled with olive oil and sprinkled with oregano and basil; 1 x fillet of sea bass fried in olive oil and butter; green salad. All on one plate. Tangerine (not on the plate - I still have some standards).
S: tea, coffee.

When I started this diet five weeks ago I was 10st 13lbs (153lbs for our American cousins without access to a calculator). This morning I discovered I'd dipped below the 10st (140lbs) mark for the first time in 20 years - 9st 13lbs. Still no ill effects - in fact, quite the opposite. Mild gout I've suffered from for the past two years also seems to have gone AWOL. Trousers have started to feel loose and I'm on the last notch of every belt I own. I'm starting to enjoy this...
