Dinner sounds yummy - and I love the new avatar!

B: 2 boiled eggs, Sukrin low-carb bread
L: Coyo & raspberries
D: Chicken korma, cauliflower rice, poppadom; Black Forest Gateau (low carb) & cream
BG before dinner 5.6, two hours after dinner 6.9. I'm quite pleased with that. I tested the chicken korma with cauliflower last week and post-prandial reading was 6.4, so a 6.9 after including a poppadom and gateau makes me happy!

Party last night. My wife's birthday today and mine on Wednesday, so party and BBQ. I was very good, no carbs because I'd made myself a batch of cauli tortillas so I could have burgers. No beer, just merlot, and no cake or crisps. Proper saintly.

However, I did succumb to a cocktail someone made. It contained "Midori", which is a melon liqueur. Almost certainly too sugary but it was gorgeous.

Apologies to all for being off-topic, but nice to see you posting again, Weird Science.

I hope all is well with your wife and her "bump in life's road" is behind her, and it'd be great to hear how you've got on longer term in your quest to modify your insulin regime. Maybe not on this thread though, or I'll have to tell us both off!!
