OK I have a lot to catch up on (while my machine catches up on my laundry).
Saturday evening I was unsure what I would have for dinner.
First, can I say that Italian in Harrogate is excellent - Giannis - near the Conference Centre. I opted for Vitello Tonnata to start. The best I have ever seen in presented. It is a dish of very fìnely cut veal served with a tuna flavoured Mayonnaise type sauce. In their case the sauce was spread on the plate and the thin Slices of veal arranged like the petals of a flower on top with a small salad in the middle. It is served cold. Presentation was amazing considering there were 16 of us. Main was again veal with a mushroom /marsala sauce served with wilted spinach, green beans in truffle oil and courgette chips. Couple of glasses dry white and a couple of Bailey's. Didn't harm the BGs bed 5.6 FBG 5.2.
Sunday - everyone else leaving
B. 2 GF pork sausages, 2 bits back bacon, fried egg, mushrooms, 2 teaspoons baked beans, mushrooms , slice GF toast and 2 poached eggs - yes you did see that right. Breakfast was a bit of a disaster at the hotel - agency chef that had no idea what he was doing so breakfast turned up in bits. Some of our group ended up with 3 breakfasts! Pot black coffee.
L. Black coffee while out walking
D. 2 glasses dry white and 2 Bailey's.
Starter of a slice of black pudding with poached duck egg and a fresh tomato salsa. Served with rocket and pea shoots.
Main - rib eye with steamed cabbage, green beans and a pepper sauce.
All the walking kept the BGs in the 5's.
Monday and it's home time.
Bed 6.4 FBG 6.2 . Last hotel breakfast. Better organised today.
B. Slice GF toast, 1 fried egg, 2 bits bacon, 2 teaspoons baked beans, 2 GF sausages, mushrooms and pot of coffee.
L James Martin's Mediterranean chicken on the train. Much better for me than the wrap. Coffee
D. Was supposed to be going out but ended up with spìcy chicken wings with lettuce, tomato and a sour cream dip. 2 bits Lindt 90%.

Not so much walking due to travelling but BGs still hung about 5's /low 6's.

Welcome back! Love the sound of the veal

Fasting day again so no breakfast or lunch.

Dinner was fathead pizza. This time minus the tomato sauce to reduce the sweetness - just added some slices of fresh tomato instead. Now totally stuffed. I think the next adjustment will be to reduce the ingredients by 15-20%.

Welcome back!!!!! :) :) :)

I don't know if I want to - its making me feel a bit tummyish after eating it and I've noticed that each time I experiment with it that I struggle to get off to sleep. Seems too much of a coincidence.
Hypnosis you cannot not love chocolate.

Yesterday
B: coffeesubstitute and cream
L: chorizo crisps dipped in smoked hummus. Oh yeah.
S: low carb 'blondie'. Didnt finish it. Total waste of money. Like chewing dessicated coconut.
D: roast belly pork.

No veg! Decided to go veg free in order to clamp down really hard on the carbs. But then i weakened and had a few raspberries and cream at around 9pm.

Today
B: coffeesub and cream
L: the rest of the chorizo and hummus
D: lamb shoulder in tomato, onion, red wine, aubergine and olives. Falling off the bone. Lovely. More berries later.

What a day! Bed 5.9 FBG 6.9 although it came down and stayed down with all my rushing about. I was in and out of the house all day from 8.20am until 7.50pm between running grandsons and DIL about, Halloween discos and then after the disco the 2nd one for p4 to p7 was due to start just as all the little ones were leaving theirs and they had football training on! It was gridlocked! Took 40 mins to get out and travel less than 1/2 mile.
B. 2 black farmers daughter pork chipolatos, fried egg, 2 bits of bacon and 1 bit sìmon howie black pudding. Black coffee.
L. Nothing
D. Leftovers again! Anchovies, prawns, 4 tre colori pomodori, 4 mozzarella pearls, 2 baby beets , lettuce and 1/2 avocado. Also last of the chia pudding with 6 raspberries.

Had the weirdest longings today for semolina and brown sauce - not together I must add!

Bed 5.3 FBG weirdly 7.4 but dropped quickly as I had Aqua today. Today was supposed to be restful but ended up almost as busy as yesterday. Got the boys to nursery/school then had to head over town with DIL to collect a new massage table. Amazing the number of times people buy things then sell them never used. Back home for a quick breakfast then got things together for aqua fit. Had to go early as I needed one of the trainers to carry the massage table into the treatment room. Aqua then a mad dive to pick up son and no 2 grandson from nursery (DIL got No 1) as they were heading to a Halloween party. So 30 mins later I have a car with Bobo Fet, Kylo Ren, The Emporer and a random Sith all installed. Dropped at party and I went for shopping then returned to collect the various Star Wars characters and take home. I have been convinced all day it is Saturday. Brother improving but now covered in spots. Anyway,
B. Slice of Bfree toasted with lurpack and 2 scrambled eggs. Black coffee.
L. Nothing too busy
D. That Diet Doctor chicken breast stuffed with the cheesey, jalapeno mix , green beans and broccoli. Will probably have a few raspberries and whey hay vanilla ice cream.

Fasting day again. Seriously thinking about an extended run of 1 meal a day - 5 days so far so let’s see how it goes.

No breakfast or lunch.

Dinner was home made burgers - mince, Feta cheese, tomato, onion, spinach with a side of buttered broccoli. Dessert of Oppo chocolate and hazelnut ice cream with cream.

That's what I'm looking at - 1 meal a day with the exception of Sunday's (although that may be 1 'bigger' meal). Starting Monday as it is 8 weeks to the 'C' word.
Can't believe I ordered Advent Calendars today. It was Lego and Playmobil and I left it too late last year so not taking any chances this year.

Know what you mean about Christmas - always comes faster than you think.

Good luck with the fasting - I find it easier at weekends for some reason. Want to get to my initial weight loss target before the end of the year. 4.2kg to go.

Friday ....

Had a bad case of the munchies yesterday.

Breakfast: Two double espressos with cream and xylitol. Three small homemade low-carb peanut butter cookies.

Lunch: Three wiener sausages, a big piece of Rambol cheese, about 50g of macademia nuts, three strawberries. Half a glass of red wine, one glass of white.

Dinner: A small cornsalad with Caesar's dressing and parmesan cheese and leftover stuffed Anaheim peppers.

Surprisingly low blood sugars this morning, maybe due a lighter and earlier dinner.

B. Black coffee
L. Just had 1 Slice Bfree and 2 scrambled eggs with parsley.
D. Boys set the menu - Hubby made a big pot of Bolognese while I was at swimming. Boys and hubby are having spaghetti I'm having Oomi Noodles.
Brother still in hospital but doing fine. Off to get the boys rooms ready now before they arrive later for their 'sleepover'.

Posting early today. My one meal has been “linner” as I’m off out for the evening somewhere where I expect food choices will be carb heavy.

Ate in Five Guys - bunless bacon cheeseburger wrapped in lettuce with onions tomatoes and mayo.

I am so happy to hear that your brother is doing fine, @maglil55.

There seems to be no rhyme or reason to being hungry in the mornings or not. On some days, I can go the entire day without feeling hungry and on others, I want to eat constantly. I figure that it is probably best to listen to my body and just give in.

Saturday ...

Celebrating my birthday early.

Breakfast: Two cups of double espresso with cream and xylitol. About 100g of tuna sashimi with a sauce made up of low-carb maple syrup, lime, mustard and soy sauce.

Lunch: Nothing.

Dinner: Went out to a place called Wine on the Rhine, this is probably the closest I will ever get to a starred restaurant in my life. Food was great, but portions were tiny. I ordered the four-course menu, but told the waitress that I couldn't eat carbs, so they adjusted the menu for me. The starter was made of some kind of cream cheese, a small amount of roasted and crunchy pumpernickel crumps, crisped vegetables, pickled onions and radishes (it was to die for). The second course was a cold, clear gazpacho with ultra-thin cucumber slices, julienned radishes, a bit of passion fruit and one warm prawns (also very good). The main course was a steak cut into strips in beef ju with pak choi (enjoyed this too), desert was a cheese platter with four different types of soft cheeses (every single one was great). With dinner, I had two small glasses of wine (a chardonnay and a very dry Spanish wine tasting of tobacco, leather and cedar)

I was still a little hungry after dinner, so we went to our favorite tapas place, where I ordered another one and a half glasses of rioja and fried sardines, they also served roasted almonds and olives with the wine.

Got up at 9:00 this morning and blood sugars were great.
