@jayney27 I always enjoyed Yoga, you've reminded me that I really should get back to it.
So the treat of 70% orange chocolate from Hotel Chocolat was a very bad idea as it has kicked off the most incredible cravings today. I am very proud of myself though because I have not given in, even when I went to Tesco and wanted to eat all the food in sight! Oh to eat a Lidl croissant again.
Eyesight is back to normal and I'm feeling much better so things looking up, I just hope I have the strength to work through these cravings until they go away.
Food today was
B-Raspberries and extra thick double cream
L-Nothing
D - Chicken fajitas without the tortillas, cheese and soured cream. Will finish up the 70% today and never, ever, go back to it.
I think that I'm probably eating way too much dairy fat.
Hi all
Awful start to the day weather wise but it brightened up this afternoon
B was a peanut butter smoothie which I took to work
Planned to eat at workplace restaurant today but last minute change to my day meant that didn’t happen, this then meant I’ve fasted for most of the day, totally unplanned but coped fine
Rooibos tea and half a PhD smart bar at 1.45pm
Cappacino when I got home from work
D broccoli rice and chicken tikka masala with 1 poppadom glass of red
I have been pleasantly surprised by the low carb muffin from Trudi Deakins Eat Fat book.I can understand your disappointment with the bread-free bread. I used to enjoy a dense stoneground wholemeal and these are nothing like that. The 90 second bread reminded me a bit of when I had a breadmaker and occasionally the bread didn’t rise very well and came out a bit wet and spongy. Mind you I quite liked that too!
This Croque monsieur may float your boat a bit better though as there were a lot of other strong flavours: a very strong cheddar, butcher’s home cooked ham and it was fried in a load of butter so the bread was reduced to a crispy vehicle for those flavours.
Its never going to be bread but I thought it did its job pretty well.
Poor long suffering Mrs P, she must hate it when you come to her with yet another recipe from this site.
Hi I use 200mls almond milk, 1 tbsp double cream, 1tsp chia seeds, this is the main element of the smoothie. I either add 1 tbsp peanut butter or ive made it with a couple of strawberries, or cherries. You could add something like Erythritol if you want it sweeter but I personally don’t feel the need.Apart from peanut butter, what is in the smoothie, @jayney27 ?
Mrs P likes baking/cooking and is really desperate to find me something I like. Lidl rolls did fit the bill. I liked Pumperknickel type bread or rye bread. Mrs P did like Lemon drizzle and chocy olive oil cake I just don't need cake in my life much. What I think I really do need is breakfast which is where bread would come in. I am getting very wary of high sat fat food hence the request for software to break down nutrients that far.I can understand your disappointment with the bread-free bread. May I suggest a little more water with it next timeArr! Jim lad! No not busy
Used to happen to me. The key is the vigorous exercise. There S been more than a few studies. It was quite frustrating to do a long workout and have higher BGs although they did drop later. I found the answer was to give the body a few carbs to burn. Nothing much - an oatcake was good.Thx @Rachox for the feedback it’s now dipped again (phew) so your theory could be right!

Well done you for resisting the temptation to eat Tesco out of stock! I’ve gradually worked up from the 70% to the 90 and 100% chocolate. I never would have believed it before starting lchf - my favourite chocolate was Cadbury’s Dairy Milk - I honestly think it’d make me feel a bit sick if I tried it now. So stick with it if chocolate is your thing, most people have found their tastes change especially in relation to sweet treats.
Beautiful photograph xHi all
Horrible rain this morning but am late posting due to having been out on a long walk/photography session in beautiful evening sunshine - see attached.
Weird food day - very hungry.
Breakfast - a staggered one. Was hungry after blood test so ate bag of salted almonds on bus to all day meeting. Still hungry on arrival and found a cafe advertising build your own omelette. Ordered one with bacon, kale and broccoli. Pretty good.
Lunch - Lidl antipasto platter.
Dinner - 2 Waitrose free range Cumberland sausages and 3 rashers streaky bacon
Also polished off a bar of Lindt 85% chocolate during my all day meeting. Couldn’t persuade colleagues to eat any and couldn’t persuade myself to stop eating it, so down it all went!

It’s strange getting your head round these new ingredients isn’t it? I thought it was expensive at first but actually they seem to last ages so after the initial outlay it’s fine.
