Bacon and a three egg cheese omelette, mushrooms, tomatoes for breakfast.
Lunch was 2 x 450 ml Readi-Cat barium meal, with a side of green staining dye at I-Med Radiology.
Dinner was a peppered T bone steak, green veggies gravy.

Had another specialist appointment at the local hospital with the results of the colonoscopy from a week or so ago., not good news as a 50 mm polyp near my colon they found is malignant. So off for more blood tests, and a CT scan that they could not give me at the base hospital as they were booked out for the day. So they farmed me out to the private hospital and the radiology place there.

I have a appointment next Tuesday for the scan results and decision making time on what Plan A to do.

The barium meal helped my bgl though. :D

Good luck for Tuesday, what a horrible shock for you. Keeping everything crossed it can be treated quickly and easily.
Winner for your sense of humour coming through at the end!

That's horrible news @Riva_Roxaban. Luckily for me, when the surgeon found malignant polyps in my bowel, he just cut them straight out. Then the same with the second lot he found a couple of years later, but they turned out to be pre-malignant anyway. Is it the position your polyp is in that makes it difficult to deal with, or the size. 50 mm sounds to be a lot bigger than mine were (about 5 & 10 mm each). I do hope and pray that all goes well and that your hospital can deal with this soon and ease your mind.

Edited to correct polyp size.

Breakfast: it was a bad idea. Em keeps telling me that she and her brother "love" turkey twizzlers and that her Dad often buys them for all of the family. So I was curious and asked her Dad about them, since they have had such a bad press in the past. Yesterday evening he brought me a bowl of pullets eggs and some turkey twizzlers to try. This morning I tried them with some of the pullets eggs for my breakfast. Eating strips of rubber would have been preferable! Tasteless, rubbery concoctions and the only flavour on the plate was from the delicious eggs. Actually a waste of such good eggs. That'll larn me! But I can't imagine why my usually sensible son buys this junk for his kids. I'll be having words with him about feeding my grandchildren these things.

2nd meal today will be salmon with some salad. At least that is all real food.

Didn’t post yesterday as unplanned trip to the south coast to Mum’s house for a couple of nights as she fell down the stairs in the early hours. Pressed her panic button, ambulance arrived, she spent about 18 hours at the hospital under observation then she was discharged with no more than a bump on her forehead and a black eye. Amazingly nothing broken.
Anyway today’s food:
Breakfast: my usual low carb coconut ‘porridge’ with strawberries washed down with a black coffee, yes I admit it, I took all the ingredients for the coconut ‘porridge’ :joyful:
Late morning: black coffee.
Lunch: a small packet of Cheesies, a few almonds and an Atkins double chocolate bar.
Mid afternoon: black coffee and Fibre One caramel protein bar.
Dinner: spaghetti bolognese on top of grated cheese with more grated cheese on top (!) followed by SF strawberry jelly, chocolate chia pudding and LC chocolate and raspberry granola.

Both the size and position, as I cannot have a general anaesthetic to operate on it.
Thank you.

Glad to hear that your Mum wasn't badly hurt. Falling down the stairs must be very frightening. Just as well she has a panic button.

11:30 2 small pieces of lc soda bread, spread with cream cheese and topped with ham and olives. A little rhubarb with creamy ff greek. A ketonut.
Mid afternoon. Went for 20g of Godiva chocolate but ended up eating the whole 100g.
!! Something in it doesn't taste like normal 90% chocolate and when I read the label the second ingredient is fructose!!!!
My family think they made my birthday nice by buying Godiva 90% and 2 lots of lc cakes, but all I'm doing is eating them all as snacks, whether i need them or not and overriding my common sense and my fear of diabetes complications.
How do I tell them nicely not to do it again?

D: a small bit of very green fritata (courgettes and spring greens predominated)

Also did 3 lots of exercise today as classes returning to halls did not coordinate with each other, and my diary!.

@Riva_Roxaban , not ignoring your predicament- just don't know what to say except wishing you well

It’s difficult, but I think all you can do is explain why you’d rather not have the ‘treats’. I don’t know whether it’s the same for you, but I’ve people I’ve decided to stop eating dark chocolate (I have)! For those who might be interested I’m happy to explain why (addiction, triggering over eating of not just the ‘treat’, but other things), but most don’t need to know why, just that I don’t eat it.

Breakfast: spinach and cottage cheese omelette. Early because I had to go to town with Neil.
Snack about 12.30: a small banana.
Dinner will be: lamb chops and maybe some mange toutes peas (if I can be bothered).

No 2 son assures me that there is a new fresh fish shop in Stornoway but Neil and I hunted for it this morning and couldn't find it so I'll be back to the plastic wrapped stuff for my next fish meal. I don't eat enough fish but I do dislike the rubbish (less than fresh) plastic wrapped fish we get in the supermarket.

Spicy mexican sausages, cheese omelette, tomatoes for breakfast.
Banana prawns in a low carb wrap for lunch.
Pork loin chops, green veggies gravy for dinner, also a spoonfull of passion fruit sorbet that had my name on it.

A better day yesterday, my nurse navigator from the base hospital came and had a chat with me to discuss my options before Tuesday. She has smoothed the path between public and the private health system, also she is good at expediting the system that are otherwise closed to the patient this past year. :)
