What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Far too much is the quick answer to the thread title.

Nothing like a train journey to provide an excuse…..

No smoko... again.
Cold chicken legs, and salad for lunch., lemon cordial osmolax mix.
JO fish cakes for supper at six.

Had my Pfizer booster shot yesterday arvo, no problems so far with it. I noticed the medical practise. that I had it done at are making a lot of money doing the shots.

Breakfast: my usual low carb coconut ‘porridge’ with strawberries washed down with a black coffee.
Late morning: black coffee and a DGF white chocolate and lemon cookie.

Brunch (out at Toby Carvery) - plenty meat: turkey, gammon & roast beef with cauliflower cheese, brussel sprouts, a little carrot & green beans.

Dinner/5pm - (not that hungry and trying to watch my weight) so packet of cheesies, 1 dgf chocolate cookie

So might still get my delivery from Thelowcarbco tomorrow (fingers & everything else crossed) as I got e-mail from Royal Mail advising it is at Chester and hopefully will reach Edinburgh&me tomorrow. Ordered a small order from SLC this morning ... just in case ... they said it would be delivered tomorrow but I have just had an email from Amazon advising they will deliver next Thursday! and ordered some bargains from dgf which should arrive tomorrow.

I ordered from SLC earlier this week and got it today. I'd ordered 2 bottles of their new LC Prosecco with my bread so it came via parcel force surprisingly quickly.

Visitors already arrived, bearing half a truffle Brie and a whole Yarg, lovely visitors who will be invited again.
.
B: ff greek, seeds and berries
L: hm lc veg soup and cheese
Wet muddy walk
D. Savoy cabbage carbonara, a keto fitness club recipe, very tasty. Half a small mince pie and 2 lebkuchen hearts. Red wine.

Sadly the lebkuchen aren't lc, but they are small and don't spike me if I'm careful. I'll put the recipe on my cmt

Edit, added, note its 2 portions and generous. We doubled it to feed 5

Happy to report both cauliflower purée and boeuf bourguignon do well on heating in the microwave :)

I really should go to bed, having a long day tomorrow bringing my goat to his new home, but I made the mistake of asking for tips on a long drive with a goat in a pet goat group on Facebook.
So now I've been alerted on about a thousand things that will go wrong, good luck with sleeping on that.
I never should have asked!

Well, it’s very quiet in here today.

Day started with a hotel breakfast of a 3 egg omelette with ham, onions and cheese, with a side of bacon. Optimistically tried a sausage, but stopped after one bite as it clearly wasn’t high meat content.

‘Lunch’ after a 6 mile canal walk in the mist (very atmospheric) which ended at Bournville, was a Hotel Chocolat 85% hot chocolate with whip. It was also free as they decided I didn’t need to pay as they’d kept me waiting.

Dinner was Nando’s. Had a Red reward so ordered a whole chicken and just ate the good bits (legs/wings) plus some Halloumi. Dessert was a keto chocolate cup cake. Ordered 4 of these from a London supplier who used to have a shop close to where I live. It’s mail order only now, with eye watering delivery charges, but there’s a free collection option if you’re in London. I find their cakes less sweet than DGF and picking them up myself guarantees the arrival date! One of the 4 left for tomorrow.

The Sun has been up for the last 50 minutes on xmas morning, no reindeer kak to clean up this year as we are cash dollar only.

The weather guesser said it will be 35° C today and hot and sunny if it does not rain, other wise hot and humid.

Happy xmas everyone. :)

It's 9.30 pm on Christmas Eve here. A bit windy outside but I don't think it's wet. Quite cold though. But that's OK - I am inside for the duration. No 2 son and his family are getting together in Stornoway for Christmas day, Neil is here but he doesn't celebrate anything. So, it's me, by myself and as far as I can see the TV is rubbish.

At some stage tomorrow I will have my skate wings in brown butter and capers. Might have a few frozen chips as well. Also have plenty of spinach soup left.

Neil tried watermelon to see if he could cope with it, but the answer is no. Em had 1/4 of it this morning for her breakfast (she came for a sleep-over last night) but the rest is in the fridge. I might try to dry it. She had been busy making my Christmas present - oven gloves (that was what I said I needed) and gave it to me last night. She made a very good job of it. Her sewing is coming along very well these days.

For breakfast today I had 2 melts - don't think I'll be making them again in a hurry. Later had a bowl of soup and later again I made pea and ham chowder, which I threw away. That gammon really wasn't very good.

So - Happy Christmas to you all. Have a good time and enjoy whatever you can eat without going too far off piste.

Scrambled eggs for breakfast as I manage to drop the box when taking in last nights delivery. 8 out of 15 got broken!
90 minutes walk
L cheeses with seedy crackers followed by a piece of sons birthday panettone (definitely not low carb)
D salmon with cucumber, mustard and honey and dill, green beans, broccoli. 2 tiny éclairs. Prosecco and a small bourbon whisky

Brunch - 2 sandwiches on egg mayo with thelowcarbco bread (yipppee it arrived today!) Mug of earl grey tea

Dinner - mussels, prawn cocktail & salmon salad. 2 dgf salted blondies (yipppee these arrived too and I have not had them in a while only ordered them as they were in the sale) with extra thick double cream and double cream poured over the top - eh well it is nearly christmas

So christmas came early for me today with all my deliveries - phew! so happy wee elf here and merry christmas to you all when it comes xxx

Everything . . . every *** thing
Biscuits, mince pies, gratin potatoes, orange juice, bread galore . . . every carb in the business
'Tis the season so I 'll pay for it in Jan
Took only one reading, 6.2 @ 1 hour after a breakfast buttie & 3 biscuits to wash down the tea.
Put the meter away for the next few days but still get the walks in.

All,

Please remember this is in the “low carb” diet forum and posts should reflect that. Discussions of high carb meals are not appropriate

Merry Christmas,
