What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Everybody should have an aunt like that! She sounds amazing. Good luck with getting your pc fixed.
Happy to share my aunt with all of you, and sure she'd be delighted to cook for us all!
So you just organise a meet-up in the city of Leiden and I'll get my aunt to feed us wonderful food!

Three slices of middle bacon, three egg and cheese omelette, two small spudlites, tomatoes for breakfast.
Two chicken legs, mashed veggies for lunch.
Toasted prawn sandwiches for supper at six.

Small glass of single malt before I went to bed, I took my oxycodone ir tablet at the same time, in amatter of minutes it gave me a nice warm buzzing feeling as the pain in my body disappeared. :joyful:

Now you've found the perfect medication before bed, see you get the single malt on your prescription.
Sounds like a job for your nurse navigator!

I was discharged from the nurse navigator service six months ago, I now have the palliative care service looking after my health.

My original NN Naomea would have payed for a bottle out of her own posket, it's pity that she is now running a virtual covid 19 unit at the base hospital. as are several others that worked with her before.

Single malt whisky is a OTC medication, and not covered by the PBS here in Australia.

Been awake since 4am so by 9:30 I felt like it should be lunchtime
I know that feeling very well!

Yesterday I ate a bit early for me - around 10am needed some air at work so went to M&S and bought raspberries and cream to go with the Fage 0% I already had in the office fridge.

Lunch was half a rotisserie chicken sat in the sun alongside the Thames - had to shift spots as the first place I chose, a wall covered in marble-like stone, was far too hot for my rear!!

The less said about ‘dinner’ the better.

Ham and cheese for breakfast - just picking at them as I got ready to go for another blood test (I took painkillers before bed last night and slept in as a result).

2nd meal will be a salad with avocado and lettuce, - that's all Neil could get in the shops today. Might add some tomatoes, peppers, pickled red cabbage and, possibly, some cheese (he managed to find some Davidstowe cheddar, which I'm very fond of).

Breakfast: my usual low carb coconut ‘porridge’ with strawberries washed down with a black coffee.
Late morning: black coffee and a carb killa bar.
Skipped lunch.
Mid afternoon: black coffee and a food dr protein bar.
Dinner: scrambled eggs on Marmite on LC toast followed by SF jelly and cream.

Been a stressful few days, elderly girl cat walked in late one evening dragging her hind legs behind her. If only they could talk as have had 2 days of not knowing what she did or how much it hurts. Luckily she seems to on the mend and is walking again. I wouldn't have put money on that outcome, but still not uncrossign fingers yet.

So my memory of my food is a bit patchy
Some yoghurt and seeds have been eaten, as have 2 avocados and a bit of cheese.
Yesterday's evening meal was out at the theatre
A starter of tuna that arrived marinated in far too much soy so couldn't even tell it was tuna. Main was steak with salad, 2 glasses white.
Hubby had a dessert that was so rich even one mouthful was too much for me.

Today I fell for choclate cream éclairs at lunch, nothing else and it was a big mistake both a big spike and losing the rest of the afternoon to a long nap.
Dinner was steak and salad again. Followed by 1 scoop ice cream, which would not normally raise my bg, but did this evening.

To cap it all my libre seems to be peeling off. I've had them fail before but not peel off. Will they still replace it free do you think?

Two slices middle bacon, two egg and cheese omelette, two slices toast and vegmite for breakfast.
Two ANZAC biscuits and black coffee at the Atrium Bistro for smoko at the private hospital, where the pathology lab for my bood tests are. They give me a three day stool testing kit as well just n case.
Rump steak and spudlite chips, and gravy for lunch.
Fish cakes for supper at six.

Four crispbreads and blue cheese watching a new show on Prime.

Small glass of single malt whi\sky before I went to bed, no buzz tonight as I did not need the instant release pain killers before I went to bed.

Just had breakfast of a piece of pork loin (that's what the frozen pork turned out to be after all) plus 2 small tomatoes, fried with the pork and a couple of broken, fried eggs. They broke because I cooked them in the fat cooked from the pork, in the same pan.

Probably, because the breakfast was so big, I shan't need anything else today..

I had cooked more of the pork than I needed and cut it into thin slices to keep for another time but I did feel hungry about 6 pm so had some slices of cold pork,

Also used the rest of the pork in 2 dishes - goulash and a stir fry. I'll probably use the stir fry tomorrow sometime and put the goulash in the freezer.

Breakfast: my usual low carb coconut ‘porridge’ with strawberries washed down with a black coffee.
Late morning: black coffee and a carb killa bar.
Skipped lunch.
Mid afternoon: black coffee and an Aldi protein bar.
Dinner: coronation chicken, leafy salad, two baby tomatoes and coleslaw followed by SF orange jelly and cream.

B: yoghurt with seeds and strawberries (note to self that home grown raspberries are ripening early this year and to have those instead of buying shop bought berries)
L: 2 chicken thighs, 1 mini ice lolly, too many almonds
D: bbq in the garden, 1 beefburger, 2 portobello mushrooms brushed with garlic butter, several pork ribs, slow cooked yesterday finished off today witha lc glaze on the bbq. Yum!
2 glasses white wine spritzer, mostly water

Brekkie at 7am - 2 slices slc bread filled with corned beef. 2 squares of Lindtt 90% (decided on having this as well as my fbs was 4.8 and I was going to be driving to work - so just in case ... I wanted to make sure I would be above 5). All washed down with a mug of earl grey tea to set me up for the day.

11am - half of a cookies & cream phd bar and another mug of earl grey

3pm - after work finished - 1 sandwich slc with corned beef again (it needed using up), some crab meat, again that needed using up and a few teaspoons of kefir (again that needing using up).

6pm - large mushroom & onion omlette. 4 squares of dgf white chocolate (which I bought while on 3 for 2 and used up some points towards it as well - as it is very expensive and it was ok, I don't know if I will buy it again)

Wow I have actually eaten quite a lot today when I write it all down

I eat a lot less when I am on a late shift

Every time you post your meals it reminds me that my portion sizes are too large and I wonder why I don't lose any of the weight I have put on - I think I know the answer :eek::eek::happy:

Yes! They always have done for me - mine almost always come off early these days.
Do you use an overpatch?
I made pictures of the food as well but my computer is broken, so don't expect too much input on the forum from me until I've had it fixed, using my phone is a pain.

So you all behave now we're down a moderator or I'll get back at you when the computer is working again!
Computer is working again so you can all resume your misbehaving!

Today was way too hot, didn't want to eat.
Until it got cooler at about 9:30 pm, but then it was too late to want to cook.
Made do with two slices of low carb bread, one with grated celeriac and mayo, one with a fried egg with cheese and salami instead of bacon (no bacon in the house). Which is fine, but still a bit sour as I have some very good asparagus in the fridge. Let's hope it will be cooler tomorrow!
